Halloween with So Suzy Stamps!

Hi Everyone,   do you remember the snow globe card I made with the September release stamps? Well, you know what? It doubles as a cauldron - so versatile ;)      My So Suzy supplies:  Be Scary sentiment , Globe/cauldron , Dancing Skeleton Lets make this card: I heat embossed the cauldron and skeleton in white. Used a TCW flame stencil and chalk paint to make my green smoke. I did mask off the cauldron (Kept the mask from the snow globe card) Used white ink to give some dimension to the cauldron and he inside of the skeleton bones. Added the sentiment and some Washi tape. Happy Halloween!

Love and Birthday

Hi Everyone, I really wanted to post this tomorrow, but the EH linky list is closing.....so this can't wait.... I have two cards to share today - one I made for this month  Waffle Flower  challenge - combining the technique (stenciling) with the color and sketch. Those darn cute sheep are by Waffle Flower, of course. The stencil is by TCW - used it with embossing paste. Also linking up with: The Paper Players - CAS Valentine ---- My second card I made for the Mix it up challenge by Ellen Hudson , combining this gorgeous EH die with a MFT sentiment. Added some Wink of Stella, which only shows in the first photo.... ...and some embellishments.... Also linking up with: Seize the Birthday  - CAS birthday Happy Stamping!

Sending Hugs

Hi Everyone, you may know that tags are not my forte - in general I try to stay away from them.....but I tried it again, putting them on a card. First I used an old TCW Stencil and embossing paste, colored with Gelatos. The tags are a Mama Elephant die. The dandelion is an old Hero Arts stamp -one of my favorites - I do LOVE dandelions. The Kraft paper I die cut with a Simon Says die, as is the sentiment. the stamped sentiment is from the matching SSS stamp set. Given my limited experience with tags I am happy with the result.  I am linking up with: Mod Squad challenge  - I am tagging you Sunday stamps  - photo challenge Simon Says Monday challenge - don't cut, just paste Craft Stamper June challenge - texture Retro Rubber - tie it on A Blog named Hero - favorite (favorite dandelion stamp) The Male Room - add a tag

STAMPlorations September challenge

This is my second post today - for the Simply Create Too challenge , please scroll down - you may want to do that, since I have also been using STAMPlorations stamps there and a fun new product ;) Its September and guess what that means - a new STAMPlorations challenge ! This one really caused me a headache. I had no clue what to make. My mind just went blank. Nothing, zilch, nada..... And I am fully aware that I am not very good at using my Copics.....That does not help. Finally my sister gave me an idea - kind of at the last moment..... and here it is: I used a TCW stencil and a fine tipped marker to draw the circles. I then doodled into some of them and added color  using using the round stamp from the  VIGNETTE: Retro Mod Shapes . The banner is from the same set  - I fussy cut it . The sentiment is from  Bloom Sketches , which I heat embossed in white. Mounted it with foam tape. Lastly I glued the white card stock onto a grey base card. ...

Little Tangles and Colour me....!

I am fairly busy getting a publication out there, but I took a break from the computer and made a card for  Little Tangles  - I just got some stamps I ordered recently and was hoping they would arrive in time for me to play with them in this challenge - and they did! I also really like this weeks  Colour me...!  colors - so naturally I combined the challenges..... I used a TCW Stencil and sponged the feathers. The sentiment is Neat&Tangled - Everyday Circles and even the sequins are from them - I love them - so elegant, those flat, matte sequins. I added some gold thread with tiny gold pearls on the ends. Used some foam tape to pop up the card panel and sentiment circle. Here is a slightly altered angle of the card- the light reflects differently off those sequins.  So, off to do more work......Did I tell you recently that I LOVE your comments? They get me going! Thanks and keep them coming...... ;) Challenges:  Less is Mo...

Stencil class Day 1: Inking & Misting

I won a spot in the Stencil class from Mama Elephant - thanks Kryssi - I am having so much fun! Today was all about inking and misting. Since I had a late shift at work I only managed to make one card - using inking and shifting of my stencil: I used a TCW stencil called mini Aztec, that I shifted around and sponged with different colors.  The sentiment is from the CASual Friday stamp set RAD. I colored the AWESOME in the color scheme with pencil and used some enamel dots. Another one layer card.... I love to do them.  The color scheme is from Colour me...!  challenge #4 I am also linking this card with  Seize the birthday   - BIRTHDAY (anything goes) Hopefully I'll have more time tomorrow!
