Katzelkraft Calendar - December

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. And now we have reached the final page of my calendar with my beloved Katzelkraft stamps. I am very happy and proud how the whole thing came together and that I stuck with it. You can see all the previous pages HERE . I first stamped the  Santa and reindeers. I masked them. I then stamped the trees, doing some generational stamping and spritzed the second and third impressions with water before I stamped to get those fluid colors and impressions. I did a bit of light sponging (distress inks) to add some background color.  I did some light brushing on the ground with just the leftover ink that was on my blue brush. In the end I also added white splatters to create a bit of "snow" and make it more wintery.  Lastly I added the little calendar. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Winter Wonderland  - KTZ280,  Noel Keep Calm - KTZ159,   Gangnam Christmas - Solo102...

Katzelkraft Calendar - November

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I associate November with bad weather - probably dates back to the many years I spent in Germany......Here in the US it's not that bad actually. I started out stamping the Windy  Day Girl. I took the Water Wall stamp and stamped over the page. I dabbed on Crystal Lacquer onto some of the rain drops and let it dry. I masked the girl and umbrella. I used a cloud stencil (Altenew) for the background and stenciled with distress inks. I colored the girl with water brush pens.   I masked off the ground and bushed with green and brown distress inks. I added the calendar part on some black background paper. I stamped the frog (or whatever it is) onto scrap paper and colored it with alcohol ink markers. Cut it out. I added the frog to my page. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Windy Day Girl  - SOLO105,  Australiens  - KTZ225,  Water Wall  - KTZ 146 ( FRANCE) Windy Day G...

Katzelkraft Calendar - August

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am having so much fun with my Katzelkraft calendar. I am sure you can tell.... August is dedicated to summer and not only humans like to eat water melon, but the rats and insects love it, too!  Now this big snake sneaked in somehow. It's not from Katzelkraft, but it is an old stamp by Hein Design. Unfortunately no longer produced. I wonder why. Such a great stamp - it actually comes in 3 pieces, the head, tail, a curved piece and a straight one. I did not use the straight one here. Anyhow with that you can make it any size and go in any direction. Pretty clever, right? The ants are by Cats on Appletrees. I started with the water melon, which I drew and colored with water colors. Cut it out. Sponged the background. I stamped the snake and rats, colored them with Copics and cut them out. The insect is stamped directly onto the background. Added the ants. Added white highlights.    The stamps I used are from the ...

Katzelkraft Calendar - May

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I am having so much fun with my Katzelkraft calendar.  I dedicated May to Mother's Day (May 8th) and therefore Flowers are in order! Unfortunately I could not stop some of the insects sneaking in.....I guess they also like the flowers, LOL! I started out stamping the flowers first. Stamped the insects. Added masking fluid, since I did not want to mask all of them with post it notes.....Once the fluid dried I smooshed the background with distress oxide inks. Colored with watercolors and a few marker accents. Also added white gel pen accents. Glued on the little calendar. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Fleurs Doodle  - KTZ178, Les Nounounes  - KTZ234  ( FRANCE)   Hibiscus  (not the same set, but would work, too)- KTZ177,  Bugs and Insects   -KTZ234   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting!
