Rainbow Stripes

Hi Everyone, a quick card made for Less is More - the theme is one layer stripes. Couldn't miss that.... Thankfully I visited Coni's blog to be reminded, that Mr. Linky is about to close.....So up in my craft room I went and pulled out the Impression Obsession striped background stamp, heat embossed it in white and sponged a rainbow over it. That in itself was a bit bland, so I stamped the Ellen Hutson rainbow and stars over it. The sentiment is from the same set. Linking up with: Less is More AAA Cards challenge - rainbow

Muse Christmas Visions

Hi Everyone, Muse Christmas Vision is in full swing and you really should join us! Chriss Blagrave mad this whimsical card - so stimulating and FUN to CASE! Now this is my take on it: This is Chriss' card : Somehow I was thinking purple and then I discovered she actually used rose.... oh well. It still works. Nobody says you have to use the same colors. The houses and sentiment are by Mama Elephant, the church is by Ellen Hudson. The stitched die is from Cutplorations. I already saw some amazing cards on our linky list! Go and check it out! Hope you'll find time to  play along with us  this month.  The linky list will be active until June 28th. Happy Holiday Card Making!

Spring and Winter

Hi Everyone, I have a Twofer today, as Darnell would call it and two very different cards. The first one I made for the Ellen Hudson Pinsights challenge  - see the mood board below. I used the Mondo Hydrangea - heat embossed it onto Bristol paper and colored it with a combination of oxide inks and water brush pens. The die cut thanks is by CUTplorations . Lovely, that mood board, isn't it? I also added Wink of Stella to the hydrangea, but it dos not show well in my pictures. My second card I made for Merry Mondays . Since Muse Christmas Visions is now monthly I need to play with the "competition" to get my Christmas cards done without too much stress in the end. The theme is "Kraft". Heat embossed the Hero Arts wreath (CG485) and added tiny pearls and gems. Added the twine. Again the die cuts are from CUTplorations . Just in case you fell in love with the die cuts - use  code STAMPGIRLCORNELIA to get 20% off on all...

Hi Everyone, I am trying to play along at Mel's  7 Days 7 Sketches challenge  and here is day 1: The sketch is below. Used Paper Smooches sets for my stamps. The film strip is by Poppy Stamps and the sentiment is from Ellen Hudson. Did a water color wash or the background and watr colored the chicks. This is the sketch: Also linking up with: Ellen Hutson March Mix it Up Challenge : Paper Smooches Stempelküche-Challenge #64   - Bauernhof  30 Day Coloring challenge  - day 1 for me

Birthday Stripes

Hi Everyone, just a quick post - its gorgeous outside, so I don't want to spend a lot of time on the computer.... I made this card for the Ellen Hudson Pin-sights challenge : The theme is aqua - see the mood board below. I like those ice-cream cones - so two Mondo Hydrangeas from my brand new EH set and the wire basked is mimicked by those black stripes - an IO background stamp. Its very hard to get a good impression of this, even with my Misti I did not manage to get really black stripes. I would have preferred PP, but I did not have the right one....The die cut sentiment is by SSS So now I am enjoying that premature spring day we are having - funny, yesterday I was ice skating in Bryant Park.... Muse Christmas Vision and 25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hi Everyone, I'm so happy to be able to take part in the  25 Days of Christmas Tags  party with    Muse Christmas Visions . The tag party is hosted by Tracey McNeely from  In My Creative Opinion . You probably know Tracey already, but if not go by and visit her wonderful inspiring blog.  We at Muse Chris tmas Visions are so excited to be again sponsoring one day of Tracey McNeely's The 25 Days of Christmas Tags . Our theme is vellum - to qualify this week, your project must be a tag and it must include vellum. There are prizes to be won both at The 25 Days and at MCV - please check out the blog posts for more details. . I used a cute little devil from Alexandra Renke to make my tag - devil you are wondering - yes, indeed - I performed some cosmetic surgery on him...I also used some Memory Box dies for the vellum clouds and the stars are by Simon Says. the sentiment is Ellen Hudson. amazing - such a little tag, so ma...

Muse Christmas Vision #51

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with this weeks  Muse Christmas Vision , where   Marianne   made this fun bauble  Christmas card - of course, I have to play along! I don't know why, but I immediately thought of the globe when I saw her card. that's why I pulled out my iStencil and inked it up with tumbled glass distress ink. Added the die cut sentiment (Simon Says) and some little stars using Brilliance Platinum ink. These little stars are by Ellen Hudson, as is the rest of the sentiment. Added little dabs of Stickles to the star centers.  Here is Marianne's fun card : Unfortunately I could not quite find the same stencil that I used on the iStencil website, but HERE is a similar one: And here is another view of my card: Wanna play along? You still have some time..... See you at the Muse Christmas Vision ! Linking up with: The Paper Players - Christmas in July  (Dear Paper Players - I'm on the MCV team, ...

Muse Christmas Vision #50

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with this weeks Muse Christmas Vision , where   Elizabeth Stewart   made  a  very pretty, glittery Christmas card - too pretty to not play along! She did some inlaid die cutting with glitter paper and  the   result  is amazing! I kept it simpler - cut the snowflake ( Papertrey)  and a blue vellum circle ( Simon Says die). Stamped the sentiment and little snowflaky adornments and added blue pearls in the center. They don't show up too well on the photo, but they shimmer nicely in real life - used Brilliance platinum ink for them. This ink also works well on vellum. Here is Elizabeths card: That star under the sentiment is the center of the snowflake - I am sure you saw this. Tempted to play? I am sure you are!  See you at MCV! Blogging Break

Hi Everyone, despite on what the card says, no happy things are happening in my life. I finally had my cataract surgery and the outcome is so so, thanks to a damaged retina. I see better than before, but not clear and this can not be corrected with glasses. It is what it is. Just hoping my right eye does not give up on me.... And then my dear mother died unexpectedly - she just stopped breathing. My older sister was with her.  At least she did not have to suffer. I am flying to Germany for her funeral, so I am taking a blogging break. So sorry, I won't be able to comment. I know you'll understand. I am playing in the current Pinsights challenge by Ellen Hudson. Although I was tempted to go with the pink ombre inspiration I in the end choose the Pantonte color picture - not that I am such a fan of soft colors, but this is supposed to be a challenge, right?! And I actually managed to stay soft and I do like the outcome. Don't worry, I'll go back to m...
