Stempel Spass

Its time for a new challenge at Dream Valley - the theme is Flowers.  You have two weeks to play with us. I pulled out this lovely Hero Arts poppy stamp from  Delicate Blossoms and heat embossed them onto watercolor paper. I wet the paper with water and then colored the poppies with water colors. If the paper is really wet, it gives a nice halo around the flowers. Although I think I need a bot more practice with that technique.  I still like the outcome! Added the sentiment  - Hero Arts Heart Felt Messages once the card was dry and added some splatters. I rounded one corner - it softens it a bit. I have not played in the Fusion challenge forever, but when I saw this picture and the sketch I had to....                                                                 I ended up making two cards, using the leftover scraps for the second card. I used the Make a Splash set from Technique Tuesday. the newspapaer background I stamped with the Hero Arts Friend definition stamp in grey. I used a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and the oval I cut with a Die-namics Die. I am also linking this card with the  Simon Says - Emboss it challenge  and with Night Shift stamping - Summer , because whale = ocean = summer fun - or do you think its too much of a stretch?
