Make It Monday #190: Stamping a Plaid Background I happen to have this stripes set from Papertrey that  Ashley Cannon Newell  uses so expertly in her card. The video is really helpful, too. I have tried before to make a plaid background, but never liked the result of it. This time its different, thanks to Ashley!  I turned it into a Holiday card - what else, at this time of the year.... The die cuts are from Papertrey as well. I really love that silver glitter paper. I have been using it quite a bit, lately.  I almost forgot - the little "cheer" is by Paper Smooches. And added two sequins. I am also linking my card with Inkspirational Colour me....! - although my turquoise looks kind of blue here... I got inspired by this weeks "Masking with die cuts" over at  Make it Mondays . The super talented Erin Lincoln is showing us how to do this expertly. Its a great video to watch! So I went to "work" on this card. I diecut post it notes for masking, sponged around them and then stamped in the flowers, deliberately leaviing an off center white border around the stamps. the happy is die cut from a paint chip. All supplies are by Papertrey. Added some tiny white dots and some sprinkles of Mr. Huey. There is a linky Party going on over at Ardyths b...

Good morning everyone! I wanted to show you the card I made - again a last minute project - for the Paper Smooches challeng e. I finally own some stamps from them, so I can play a little.... Although I did go with the free digi in this case.... I had this idea in my mind with hexagons and I did not manage to make a card for the last hexagon challenge in blog land....So here it is..... I used a TCW stencil for the hexagons. The sentiment is Paper Smooches - Sentiment sampler and the stripes I made with the Papertrey Super Stripes set. The digi bee is cut out and propped up with foam dots.

And again I can welcome two new members to my blog - how great is that! Wow - you guys amaze me! I started this blog at the end of October last year and I never ever dreamed of having so many people actually like my cards so much and join here. Thank you all!  And now lets say HELLO to Wendy and  Sunehra Wendy is on the DT for Designs by  Ryn ( I am envious....), who has designed of of my all time favorite stamps - the famous water droplet stamp and Sunehra has several blogs at once - how does she do that???
