Santa Claus is coming to Town

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Christmas card.  I am playing along with 52CCT - the theme is Vellum embossing.   I started out with a light blue card stock as my base. Dry embossed the vellum with a Sizzix Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz) and sponged some purple  on it for more definition. Splattered generous white paint onto the vellum and background paper. Die cut the Santa, Reindeer (Dixi Crafts die) and squirrels (Poppy Stamps die) and added them. Heat embossed the sentiments ( Darkroom Door ) I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT  - Vellum embossing Christmas Kickstart challenge - Colour Palette Fun

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps collaborating with Rinea Foil Papers

Hi Everybody, Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below. This month  Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps is collaborating with Rinea Foil Papers . The papers are great quality and not at all flimsy. They are quite fun to create with! As you can see, I made the background with gold foil paper and a 3D embossing folder. I just love how this turned out!    The paper held up well and did not really crack. I was a bit afraid of that.  I used my all time favorite Christmas sentiment and those pretty bows ( large bow , small bow ), that I colored with markers and fuzzy cut. Go and check out  Rinea Foil Papers . They are really a terrific product! Here are the 20% off stamp sale categories for this month:  Linking up with:

Goodbye Tension

Hi Everyone, one of my favorite clerks at work is retiring and you know what that means - I needed a card for her. That flamingo from Your Next Stamp is  my favorite for that. I just love his expression. I used the colors and ind of the sketch from YNS current challenge to get me started. Used an embossing folder as background and colored with water brush pens. Added some sequins. I love that hilarious sentiment. Can't wait for my own retirement... Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Your Next Stamp  - see below

Guest Designing for The Heart Desires Challenge - Midpost Reminder

Hi Everyone,   The Heart Desires challenge  is still in full swing! You probably have already seen this months' amazing mood board - it for sure will stimulate your imagination . I just love the colors. For my second card I went with the flamingos. They are from MFT. I used watercolor to color them.  The relax is by SSS and I used a polka dotted embossing folder - after all there are some polka dots on the mood board. Couldn't ignore those... Added enamel dots for balance and to get more of the colors from the board. I hope you'll find time to  play along ! Happy Stamping! Oh Christmas Tree

Hi Everyone, here comes my weekly Christmas card - inspired by Merry Monday - loved the theme - something non standard - I always find that more interesting than the usual stuff. It is "non-black silhouettes". Well, I thought I can do this! Took out the Winter landscape die from CUTplorations and a Sizzix embossing folder, some white card stock and the funky reindeer by Dixie Crafts - actually that die cut I had left over from last years Christmas card production. The sentiment is by Stamplorations - Shery Russ Design. And because the reindeer wasn't goofy enough I gave it a googly eye..... Oh, how I love how this turned out! (Just in case you like the landscape die -  Use  code STAMPGIRLCORNELIA to get 20% off on all stamps, stencils, and dies on all regular- and sale-priced items in the store.) Muse Christmas Vision

Hi Everyone, I felt like making a Christmas card - in July, playing with the Muse Christmas visions ! Perhaps to cool off...although our summer so far has been great - not too hot or humid. Just perfect! I did not do any stamping on this card - it might be a first for me. I went with the unconventional Christmas colors on Chris'  card and the dry embossing. But as you can see I switched the gloves for the tree. I dry embossed the tree as well as my background paper. Die cut the sentiment and used one of those pieces that falls out of the letters for my tree topper.  Chris Blagrave's fun Christmas card: Here is another view: My supplies: Patterned Paper, tree die and background wood embossing - Papertrey, Tree embossing - Sizzix, sentiment die - Simon Says Also linking up with: Crafty Hazelnut Patterned Paper challenge July - anything goes Crafty Hazelnut Christmas challenge July  - anything Christmas Simon Says Monday challenge ...

Birthday Giraffe

Hi Everyone, I have to sneak in a card in between our STAMPloration blog hop .......I just made to play in some challenges. That cute giraffe was nudging me for the last few days to get inked up - I finally gave in...... Added Washi tape in the background and embossed a scrap piece of card stock with a Sizzix Embossing Folder. The giraffe is by YNS - I colored it with Copics and fuzzy cut it. The sentiment and inlaid triangle die cut is also by YNS. I mounted the Kraft panel with foam tape. Thanks a Ton!

Hi Everyone,  I am playing with the  Your Next Stamp  challenge, combining the color and sketch challenge (see pictures below). I love their stamps - they are so cute without being cutesy. The set I am using here is called Jungle Critters 2 .  I am always in need of thank you cards....... I stamped teh elephant onto shimmer paper, colored it with Copics and fuzzy cut him The eyes and toenails I accented with liquid enamel. the background I sponged onto watercolor paper using distress inks and then splattered water droplets on it. It does not show that well. I'm not sure what I did srong here - maybe its the paper???? The dark blue side strip I embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.  On the picture below you can see the shimmer of the elephant a little better: Added Bakers twine. Addicted To Stamps and More

I have exciting news to share with you - I am now part of the Addicted to Stamps and More DT! It is just wonderful to be part of this fantastic team!  This weeks challenge is themed "Make your Mark", which I interpreted as using your markers. So I pulled out almost all my Copics for this. I used a Sizzix embossing folder and then colored in the valleys of the striped pattern. I added the black border on the left - the card needed some definition. The sentiment panel I sewed onto the card base. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations from the Subway Art Builder series - Create . I used the left over thread to string up some sequins.  Our generous sponsor for this challenge is  The winner will receive 5 free digis of her choice! So come on over to the ATSM challenge blog   and get some  inspiration from our wonderful DT   and we hope you find time to join in the fun!

HAPPY EASTER with Muse # 63

HAPPY EASTER to all of you! Before I go on with this post I just wanted to let you know that I am on vacation in Boulder for this week and I am taking a little break from blogging.......but I'll catch up with everything once I'll come back! I am playing again at the Muse . The amazing  Therese Calvird  is providing inspiration for us - her wonderful card is below, further down. I knew immediately what to use for my card. I have this Sizzix embossing folder, which has a similar pattern as Therese's card. I swiped  the embossed panel with different colored green inks. to give it some ombre effect.  The bunnies are IO, the banner is from Avery Elle and he stamp is an ancient woodblock stamp from Repeat Impressions. I gave the bunnies some eyes made with liquid enamel and a black marker.  they look better that way.  And just for the fun of it I am linking this with Simply Create Too - no digis or stamped images - there is still a...

STAMPlorations Sketch Challenge #6

The new sketch challenge at STAMPlorations is starting today!  I  know  Valentine's Day is over, but I could not resist to make another LOVE card.... I used my favorite set from the  VIGNETTE series: Retro Mod Shapes  for this card and stamped the shapes in different shades of yellow on white card stock, that I ran through my Big Shot with the Papertrey Linen embossing plate to give it some  subtle  texture. The yellow circle I embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and the heart is a punch by Marvy. I mounted it onto red card  stock . Here is the sketch:                                            February 17 - Sketch #6 The challenge ends February 28. The  winner will be announced March 2. There is a PRIZE to win, too! The sketch challenges are sponsored by All About Scrapping ....
