Washi Tape Fun!

Hi Everyone, I got this Washi tape combo at my Michaels recently and my fingers have been itching to use it! And as luck will have it - The Male Rooms current challenge is all about Washi tape! So this is one super fast card. Took my neon ink daubers fromHero Arts and smashed them onto card stock. After the color dried I added those funny faces from YNS and heat embossed them to make sure the ink doesn't smudge. Added white to the eyes and red to the tongues;  and of course the Washi tape. This also loosely follows the sketch in the current YNS challenge , so I am linking up with them.     Go and get your Washi tape out!

Twin Birthday Take 1

Hi Everyone, ever year I need to make birthday cards for twins - they are now 5 years old! Here is my first one for this year - the other one will follow, when I have time to make it. I thought I have enough time tonight to make two, but now, I got side tracked and one it is... I used my Inktense pencils to color the fun dino - its an NBUS set from YNS. The other NBUS thing is that PP - it had a big layer of dust on top of it. LOL! PP, just not my thing.....Of course you know where this is going - its going to go over to Darnell's Blog ! She has a major celebration going on and of course I can't miss that!!!!     Look at this - 1000 posts, 1000 followers!!!! WOW! And well deserved as I am sure you all know - her posts I actually read - so much fun, wouldn't want to miss it! Big congrats Darnell, what an amazing achievement! Birthday Fishes

Hi Everyone, I have not played in the YNS challenges in a while - always too many other challenges to participate and I kept missing the deadlines...NOT this time!!! I don't do a lot of sketches, but I really liked that one. Ignored the color challenge - you don't have to combine the two. I first wanted to use a stencil for the water strip, but then I came upon this patterned paper, that has been in my stash now pretty much forever. Time to use it!!! It has a nice shimmer to it - does not really show in the picture..... This is the sketch and the stamp set :   I don't think that card requires a lot of explanation on how I did it. So I'll spare you that. Filled up the shaker with microbeads only to not distract from the cute fish. Also linking up with: Seize The Birthday - anything birthday Use Your Stuff - anything goes Can you CASE it? - anything goes AAA Cards - water world and dies Best Fishes to all of you!

Holiday Shaker Card and a School Project

What else is new - another last minute project from me .... This time I combined both teh sketch and the inspiration picture from Your Next Stamp to create this shaker card. The sketch really looks like a snowglobe to me and I love shaker cards, so I went to work.... And here is my result: I used Paper Smooches stamps. The trees are actually green, you see this better below and its holiday confetti from Michaels, as are the little snowflakes. The snowglobe base is in real life more yellow, but looks like orange in the picture... I added wink of Stella to the white parts of the snowman's hat and that you can't see either... Here you can see the green trees: As luck will have it, my card fits the  The Card Concept  challenge perfectly  1.) A TAG or a CARD with a tag on it 2.) Snowmen, snow or any other "wintery" theme!  My card goes into the CAS category, of course. I like it, its cute!            ...
