Muse Christmas Vision #46

Hi Everyone, this week we have Stephanie Klauck from Round Here as guest Designer at Muse Christmas Vision and her card got me really excited! It is an amazing CAS card - it has it all - perfect layout and interest! I almost pulled out one of my deer stamps, but then I thought I should try to be a bit more original... So I used this old wood stamp from Paper Source that had been collecting a lot of dust - only used once before..... I stamped it after I sponged the green rectangle - I made myself a mask with a rectangular die - much easier than trying to get a perfect rectangle with post-it notes. I filled in the berries with a white Sharpie. Here is Stephanie's amazing card : To get some red in I added the red bow. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. No is that card exciting you as much as me? I sure hope so! Linking up with: Jingle Belles - banish holiday blues Mod Squad - use it or loose it (ancient wood stamp) Happy Stamping!

Muse #94 combined with Inkspirational

Finally I found some crafting time again! I was missing my daily evening card making sessions.... but last night I could retreat to my card making room upstairs and make some cards. The one that I am showing here I made for the   Muse  challenge and combining it with  Inkspirational , where the theme is Christmas with the optional twist of no red or green.  Marion Vagg designed such a gorgeous card for the Muse challenge, but its actually not easy to CASE - at least for me... Since Christmas is nearing I wanted to make a Christmas card - never can have too many of those.... the stamps are Hero Arts. The joy die is by Papertrey. Added little beads on silver string I am not totally happy with my card - I guess I am a little rusty.... I am also linking this card with Christmas Stamping all Year round - anything Christmas                 Glad to be back in blogland! Thanks for visiting me!

Christmas card with non-Christmas stamp

Craft Stamper Magazine  challenges us to  use a non Christmas stamp to create a Christmas themed image. I used my Hero Arts Plano stamp to create this card. I stamped it onto water color paper and heat embossed it. then sprinkled it with Brushos and cut out the trees.  I slightly sponged around the trees. I stamped the sentiment onto vellum (Hero Arts Decorate your Holidays) and also heat embossed it, plus a little sponging..... Added the sequins, which I made with my MFT dies. I love using non Christmas stamps for Christmas cards - Thanks for the challenge! I am also playing with CASology  and in the Snippets Playground - my snippets are the sequins and the vellum strip            Also linking it up with Less is More ( as Sarah suggested) - the theme is "More than one Tree" and Moxie Fab -  Tree-mendous Trees   --- X --- I also want to thank everyone who emailed me, wrote me ...

Hero Arts Scramble #73

Hi, today my friend Kanan was hosting the Scramble over at the Hero Arts flickr group . I had to play, of course.... She had some challenging themes: P-1 :  Old Fashioned & Earth - Old-fashioned  – something inspired by vintage design or old look Earth  – your own interpretation of the word earth (say, earthy colors (shades of brown, blues, greens...any other you can think of) , the shape of earth) OR P-2 :  Simplicity & Layers - Simplicity  – displaying a clean and simple design Layers  – you can use layered stamping technique or layers of papers or both, the choice is yours. Of course I had to do the second options - easier and suits me better.... I used the Hero Arts Zig Zag Background Cling stamp at an angle, layered some Washi tape across, but the thinner one I first put on card stock paper, since I did not like the see-through of the background. I punched the speech bubbles and stamped the words inside. The little ampers...

Dynamic Duos #78, Snippets and 2 new Members

Its my favorite part of blogging  - to welcome 2 new members to my blog: Annelies and  Cammy Annelies is from Belgium and unfortunately I still can't look at her blog - google does not let me - perhaps you are going to be more successful than I.... Cammy is from New Jersey - close by to where I live and we met at the Mama Elephant Birthday bash in Hoboken. We went to the Edison stamp show together and had a blast! Her beautiful blog is linked  - pay her a visit if you have time.  Of course I have a welcome picture for both of you: I took it last year at the Grounds for Sculpture , which is just a fantastic place to visit! Unfortunatley I don't know the artist who made this sculpture. I really like it - it looked gorgeous in the mist..... --X-- Guess what - it going to be more Holiday cards - I just don't think I'll ever have enough......I am so happy I started early this year - my pile has been growing nicely......... I ...

Merry Monday #79

Here comes my last minute special for Merry Monday  - 2 hours before Mr. Linky closes.... That is the oh - so pretty inspiration picture: And here is my card: Simple, but I really like it! I used this wonderful stamp called Dazzling Snowflake from Hero Arts. The sentiment is also Hero Arts -  Decorate your Holidays. I white stamped both and in addition heat embossed them in white. Added a little bit of Stickles and a star gem in the center. I guess the sparkle does not really show in the picture....oh well... I will also link up this card with the  CHNC challenge  and  Christmas card challenges . Thanks for visiting my blog - extra thanks for leaving me all those great comments and feel free to participate in my blog candy - just follow the rules for it.....

Festive Friday#17

So cute, this felt acorn from Festive Friday - it immediately appealed to me and I wanted to play.... But it wasn't as easy as I thought. I wanted to use felt, to get that cozy warm feeling from the inspiration picture, but I did not like any one of my two felt cards I made. So I went with what comes easier to me - stamping.....I like this card.  The windows are cut with the Papertrey Take Tree die, the stamps are Hero Arts Four Framed Snowflakes, the sentiment is by Magenta. I also cut a thin strip of metal foil and added some Stickles. --X-- I will show you my other attempts....maybe I shouldn't..... The stamps and die cuts are Prickley Pear, the sentiment is Hero Arts - Decorate your Holidays. Somehow there is something missing on this card - any suggestions? The second card looks better here than in real life. The stamps and die cut are from the Hero Arts/Sizzix Merry Christmas Tree set. For both cards I used the Papertrey ...

Festive Friday #13

Hello Friends, it has ever so slightly cooled off here in new Jersey, although that much needed rain did not really happen. My garden is thirsty.... I will have to start watering soon.... The humidity dropped, too and that makes it more bearable. So I climbed up the stair into my card room and tried to cool off with a Christmas card....Isn't that inspiration picture delicious? I pulled out my mod tree die from Memory box, dry embossed white card stock with it and then die cut it in silvery, shimmer card stock.                    The sentiment is from Hero Arts Decorate your Holidays. The little pink dots I made with the Memory Box Bubble Joy die (also a shimmer paper) and the pink star is from a Papertrey die. It was kind of a pain to glue on all those little dots, but in the end it was worth it - what do you think? This card I'll put into the Festive Friday challenge  and ...

Merry Monday #67

Another Christmas card to add to my growing collection..... Merry Monday  has this pretty sketch: I had to urn it around to make it fit my favorite Memory Box die  (Modern Landscape). I silver embossed vellum with Hero Arts Tiny Flakes. The ornament is Hero Arts Decorate your Holidays and the sentiment is Paper Smooches. I like the silver embossing - looks really elegant. I hope you like it, too!

52 CCT combined with KIS

Time for a Christmas card.....in June.....this year I will NOT be stressed out about Christmas.......!!! So I combined 52 CCT  - Christmas ornaments with KIS  - negative die-cutting and The Paper Players  - CAS with bling   into one card: I used a Prickley Pear die, the paper underneath is from My Minds Eye. The sentiment is Hero Arts - Decorate your Holidays. And then of course I used some tiny bling - it shows better in the close-up. The card is popped up with foam dots, to give it some dimension - and to emphasize the negative space....
