Super fast card with Lost Cost Designs

Hi Everyone, if you follow me on Instagram, you already know that I went to a craft fair yesterday and got myself some stamping goodies (because I clearly don't have enough, yet....). And this morning, when I scrolled through blog land I encountered a few challenges that inspired me. So I went into my craft room, to ink up some of those new treasures. Here is my haul from  Lost Cost Designs. Those are new stamps and I fell in love with them immediately. I think you will see them often in the future. There are a few more - I should have bought them all.... Since I am also playing in the current AAA Challenge I needed to make a quick card. Gathering supplies and planning wasn't included in the time  - you know how you can agonize over a design for a looooong time...... I made a little try out on scrap paper - I do that quite often. Changed the colors a bit and then went to work. Stamping the animals took very little time. I used the party collectio

Crackerbox & So Suzy Stamps - Smooshing Distress Inks

Hi Everybody, I created a spring like card for you today with a smooshed distress oxide ink background. My stamp supplies: Spray set of two , Tulip . Dot Splatter And that's how I did this: I took water color paper and a small acrylic block. I wet the paper and inked up the block. Smooshed it onto the paper. Repeated the process until I was happy with the result. I took the stamps and stamped them randomly onto the background. Did some masking as you can see. I doodled the stems and the grass on the ground. Added Bakers twine. I didn't feel it needed a sentiment. Sometimes you don't need one and you can  use the card for whatever purpose you like. Rubber Dance Big Day with Mama Owl

Hi Everyone, I had so much fun playing around with my new Rubber Dance stamps! My stamp supplies: Mama Owl This card evolved, if I may say so.....I started out with the owl on Kraft card stock and colored it with Inktense pencils. I then ruined my card, with making a grey outline around the owl. Looked hideous.... I then fuzzy cut the owl and found her a new background paper. I thought it needed something else, so I heat embossed the florals before I glued the owl to the background. I added white gel pen accents to the owl. Die cut the sentiment twice and mounted it to the card. I finally was happy with the result. Hope you like it, too. Don't forget our challenge is still going for a few more days, until the end of the month. Play along, if you find time! It runs all month long over in the  Facebook Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge  and its  those three colors you see below or anything goes with Rubber Dance stamps. Happy Rubber Dancing!

Katzelkraft - Happy Easter take 3

Hi Everyone, it's Katzelkraft Wednesday! I used the sassy  Bunny from the Farm Animal set  for this card. I put him on the little Ottoman from the Salon Set . I colored him with Inktense and die cut the eggs. The Happy Easter is from the set  Holiday Quotes The other sentiment I found on Pinterest and printed it on my computer. Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration! Stencil Ghosting

Hi Everyone, I am in Easter card mode and I wanted to play in the CAS Stencil challenge. The theme is ghosting. I had a lot of trouble with it. I finally produced something I kind of can live with.....Still not happy at all. It makes everything look fuzzy. but it is, what it is.....  I used my favorite "egg"  iStencil  for this - made a lot of Easter cards with it in the past. Those things look like eggs to me. Below you see my failed ghosting attempt. But I cheated here and sponged some matching color over the ghosted areas, as they didn't show up well. I like it much better. New technique, huh - I call it reverse ghosting, LOL! My second card was supposed to go onto Colour Throwdown, but I missed the deadline.....Still love those colors! Christmas Kickstart

Hi Everyone,  time for another Christmas card - my pile is growing much too slowly.... For this card I turned to my favorite oldies....the Dixie Crafts die, that I use every year - love this funky reindeer. The Tim Holtz embossing folder - another ancient treasure. The wonderful paper is by Alexandra Renke and I got that gifted, if I remember correctly by my crafting friend Elisabeth Marsen from aufs papier gebracht . I dressed up the reindeer with Nymo Garn and a collar of glitter paper. Linking up with: Christmas Kickstart challenge - moves on hooves CAS Christmas - deer ATSM - holiday

Twofer Challenge #14

Hi Everyone,  have you been waiting for my Twofer entry? I hope so ;) Well, here it is: I figured, since I had time constraints to utilize past labor for this. A while back I had made that happy birthday card - actually I made two of them for the twins of a friend of mine and I had waited for an opportunity to show them. Thanks to Twofer that moment is here! But I still needed a second card - and you saw that yesterday - I hope the Twofer people don't mind.... Anyhow, if they do, they can discard my entry.... So I re-purposed the balloon and turned it into boulders. Added different animals. And here you can see all cards separately. Debby Hughes inspired my with her coloring, although she does a much better job than I do.... The cute monster is from the set Monster Hugs from Simon Says Stamps (a Concord and 9th exclusive). It's really a Threefer..... If you want to know the details about this card you can read all on it HERE And
