Stamp Connection #26

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: "make a set" And that's what I did - making a bunch of Bar/Bat Mitzvah cards I made some watercolor backgrounds - more flowing for the first tow cards and splattery for the third card. The sentiment is always the same - stamped on black card stock or on vellum and heat embossed.   The stamps are a combination of Paper Smooches and Impression Obsession. The silver and gold splatters are made with Finetec Mica colors. Lets check out   Tanja's artwork! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge - emboss it In...

Mazel Tov!

Hi Everyone, my neighbor needed another Bat Mitzvah card and I needed some inspirations, which I got for the gorgeous picture from Inspired by all the Little Things . Here is that picture - isn't it gorgeous? As you can see, I basically went with those bottles and ignored the flowers.... I used my peony dies from The Ton - those are my favorite flower dies. The sentiment is a concoction of Paper Smooches, Impression Obsession and Winnie & Walter. Added shimmery gold splatters with my Fine Tech Mica water colors. I am so happy with this creation! Also linking up with: Less is More - Shimmer (shimmer splatters) Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies AAA Card Challenges - Birthday (a Bat Mitzvah is a very important birthday) Time out - Flowers and Friends Happy Sunday!

Bat Mitzvah with Concord and 9th

Hi Everyone, one of my neighbors is a big fan of my card and she ordered a Bat Mitzvah card from me. I don't do them too often, but thankfully I have some stamps at home for just this occasion. I used my new Concord and 9th flower stamps and water color paper. Did some masking, as you can see and added the sentiment, which is a combination of Paper Smooches and Impression Obsession. The tiny stars are by Papertrey. I added some black Stickles onto the flower centers (hard to see on the picture) and some sequins. The colors I got from this stunning mood board by The Heart Desires  - its for the current challenge and of course I am playing along! With colors like those I can't resist! Happy Bar Mitzvah!

Hi Everyone, a friend of minne ask me to make a Bar Mitzvah card, but then she fell in love with a card I made a little while back, you can see it HERE . And while this was a birthday card, it did not say Bar Mitzvah on it and that for sure is a very special birthday. So I promised I would make her a new card: It is slightly different, but close enough. I actually like my first version better - don't tell her that...and honestly, the kid who will get this one, will not have seen my first card anyhow...I made it the same way as the previous card, so I'll spare you the details. The stencil is by iStencil and you can find it HERE . the sentiment is from Papertrey. And as luck will have it - those colors are next to each other on the color wheel - the requirement for this weeks Less is More challenge . Happy  Birthday LIM! 6 years!!!Yeahh! What an achievement!  Also linking up with: Seize the Birthday - anything birthday

Color Throwdown #284

I needed another Bar Mitzvah card, so those colors from this weeks  Color Throwdown  challenge came in really handy..... I'm really into using stencils right now - they are so quick and easy and I love the effects you can achieve with them. This stencil is from TCW. The sentiment is a mixture of Neat&Tangled and Impression Obsession stamps. Added enamel dots - somehow they are on almost all of my cards nowadays.... Did I ever tell you that I love pottery? My hometown in Germany, where I grew up has the only pottery school in Germany. Naturally there are a lot of potters in that town and the vicinity. We had a lot of pottery at home and I have quite a few treasured pieces that I like to use frequently. Love that pot in the inspiration picture! I'm also  adding this card to the  Moxie Fab STENCIL challenge .

STAMPlorations February Challenge #4

Hi Everybody - its time for a new monthly challenge at  STAMPlorations ! as you can see, the theme is Stamping and Stitches I am using the cute  using  VIGNETTE: Eclectic Florals , which I stamped on patterned paper and heat embossed. I love that little set - its designed with so much love and has cute little details, like the ribbons you can "wrap" around the jar the sentiment is pieced together using Party Dots from Neat&Tangled and Jewish Greetings from Impression Obsession, heat embossed on vellum and stitched - yes stitched to the card - I had to pull out my sewing machine for that. I did try the stitching on paper before I used it on the card and it worked fine, but then the paper was slightly different and in the end the tension on the thread was not correct for the card.....or should I have not pointed that out to you? I am also adding this card to The Crafting Cafe  February challenge - embossing By the way - ...

Friday Mashup #144

The Friday Mashup  is almost over..... a nd I made this card with the challenge in mind. So this is going to be short - I also used the stencil spray technique that we learned about in the Stenciled online class. The sentiment is a concoction from Impression Obsession and Neat&Tangled. The stencil is by TCW. The small die cut stars are by Simon Says. I did not have time to make an envelope and right now I don't need any more thank you cards, but it's Bar Mitzvah "season" in my son's class, so I'm going to need lots of those... Create a project with  "Stars." Create a set of  "Thank you Cards with Matching Envelopes" .  Or Mash it Up and create a set of  "Thank you Cards & Envelopes using Stars." I am also linking this card with the Trendy Star Moxie Fab challenge
