4 Cats

Hi Everyone, I needed a card for a little boy, so I scoured blog land for help.... and I found it! It came in the form of Paper Smooches , Just add Ink and Challenge up your life .... So here is the result: I used four colors - the requirement for Paper Smooches. Of course those funky cats are by Paper Smooches - they are my favorite cats from them, I have used them several times by now. I got them sun glasses - the snow is so bright here right now... (you can see some pictures HERE ) The layout is from Just add Ink  and the colors are from Challenge up your life         Also linking up with: The Male Room - Little Boys Simon Says Wednesday challenge - create with critters Happy Stamping!

Friends Furrever

Hi Everyone, I am playing in the Paper Smooches Picture Perfect challenge for this week - love that inspiration photo with those little birds. So I rummaged through my Paper Smooches sets and found the set calle WHimsical to be perfect for the challenge. Added the funky cat from Feline Friends and colored the birds with pencils. Since I managed to smudge the card it needed splatters to hide the smudges...... And then I decided to add those silly googly eyes to my little feline friend...... Happy 4th of July!

Hi Everyone,  are you enjoying your 4ht of July? I hope you do! It has been the coolest ever since I have been here for us - but warm enough to be enjoyable and to go to the pool (which I did after working most of the day....) I have been staring at the sketch for this week's  Paper Smooches Sparks challenge  for the entire week - no idea of what to do - until the threat of Mr. Linky closing - that always gets my imagination going....so I did a card in patriotic colors: I used the stamp set Super  and used the matching die. Some Washi tape and that's it. Here is the sketch: Also linking up with: Brown Sugar - Red, white and Blue Frosted Designs - Red, white and Blue with a twist (old Washi tape - brand new dies) Addicted to CAS  - Patriotic Less is More  -  RED , WHITE &  BLUE

Feline Birthday

Hi Everyone, this is my second post for today - for the STAMPlorations blog hop post click HERE  (you would not want to miss that one). the whole week I wanted to play in the color Q challenge and if you see the inspiration picture you'll know why - just my thing - CAS and graphic. I love those cat mugs. So what better to use than that funky Paper Smooches set Feline Friends! I need a birthday card for a soon to be 6 year old boy - I think he'll like it! Added a brad to be able to play with Retro Rubber. The Feline Friends is an older stamp set, although not sure exactly how old, but certainly older than one year. The sentiment is die cut from pain chips and is also by Paper Smooches. Added some string, to keep it from "flying" away, ;) The 6 is by Papertrey.  I "grounded" those cats with a credit card, added glossy accents to the glasses and googly eyes to the grey cat. Baby Card

Hi, just a quick post today. I wanted to play in the  Paper Smooches  challenge - have not been playing in a while. This week its an inspiration photo - see below. I used patterned paper - in my stash forever and a strip of  luckily matching card stock - even older. The elephants and sentiment are paper pieced and form that cute set A Little Lovin. the stitched circle is by SSS.    Here is another view of my card: Also linking up with CASology - SWEET - babies are always sweet Happy stamping!

Happy Barkday!

Hi Everyone, I just love making kids birthday cards....this one will go to Germany to the then 4 year old son of one of my former Au Pairs. I used the cute dog from the Paper Smooches set Birthday Buddies, stamped him on Kraft paper and colored him with pencils. I like him even more with a googly eye and gave him some tail   wags.....Added a felt heart and some sequins. The "floor" he sits on I made with a credit card - those things come in handy at all sorts of occasions ;) And here you get another view of him: I just love him! Stack 'em up!

And yet another Christmas card.....this one I made for the Paper Smooches challenge  - the inspiration picture is below. I stacked up various animals  from my sets and colored them with Copics in a muted color palette. The sentiment is also Paper Smooches - Christmas sampler, There is just something about those stamps that make me smile. They are just too cute, without being cutsie..... Here is the inspiration picture: Also adding this card to  Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - Winter and to  Simon Says Monday challenge  - anything goes Challenge up your life - Xmas without Xmas stamps Traumfabrik  - A Christmas Carol/anything Christmas Happy stamping and have a great day!

Addicted to Stamps challenge #122

Hi Everyone, its challenge time at ATSM and our theme is "Make your Mark" I used Paper Smooches stamps for this card - the stamps are from the set Santa Paws, except the background star, which is from  Birthday Buddies. I colored the dog with my Copic markers and fuzzy cut it. The stitched landscape dies are by Lawn Fawn. I added Wink of Stella to the stars and the brim of the Santa hat, but you can't see that in the picture.  I just love this punny sentiment! I mounted the card onto a white base with foam tape. Our generous sponsor is: http://www.eurekastamps.com/ The prize is 3 digis. I am also playing in the  Paper Smooches  challenge - Anything goes and in the Snippets Playground - my snippets are the dog and the hat.

Paper Smooches picture challenge

Paper Smooches  has an interesting inspiration picture this week - I basically went with the left half of the picture and came up with this card: I used the Paper Smooches set Chubby Chums Pals, colored that cute crab with Copics and fuzzy cut it. I had some problems with the daisy, until I made my own using the Paper Smooches set Geobasics, I bought that a while ago - gotta have everything geometric out there....Cut it out, too and added an enamel dot. The background I made with the Papertrey Woodgrain embossing plate and sponged it with distress inks, to more capture the inspiration picture.  Lastly I mounted the daisy and the crab with foam tape, to give it some dimension.  I really like it - its so easy to make fun cards with those fabulous stamps!

Paper Smooches combined with Taylored Expressions

The son of a distant relative of mine - his name is Adrian is celebrating his 7th birthday and I wanted to make a card for him - he gets one every year. And what is better than to use those fabulously cute stamps from  Paper Smooches  for it? This weeks challenge is Anything Goes - what could be better? I also just discovered a new challenge - its by  Taylored Expressions  and they are celebrating their 6th birthday with a big birthday bash (see below) - I had to play and used their sketch for this card: I used a Memory Box stencil tp make the side strip and the "water" in the "aquarium" . The fish and sentiment are from the Paper Smooches set - Birthday Buddies. The "water plants" on the right are cut with a Memory Box die (NBUS). Here is a close-up - you can see better here, that I partially filled my aquarium with microbeads - got them on sale years ago and have never used them...  Part of the Taylored Expression requirements is...

Birthday Fishes

I recently ordered some Paper Smooches stamps (because I don't yet have enough stamps, LOL).....they are just so damn cute - hard to resist..... But anyhow this set came in handy for this weeks Paper Smooches challenge . The inspiration picture is below - subtle stripes in blue, yellow and soft pink. I used the fish from the set Birthday Buddies, stamped it in Versamark and heat embossed it in silver - those jars have a silver lid. I made a mask for the fishes and then used a Memory Box stencil to sponge the stripes waves. I colored the fish with Copics - stripes here as well.   You see the silver embossing better on the oblique image, straight on it looks like black ink....  Added the sentiment and bubbles (with glossy accents) and a jute bow. this is a one layer card, which qualifies it also for the A Blog named Hero challenge - which is collaborating with Paper Smooches right now I will also link up with KIS - add a bow Seize the Birthd...
