Online Stencil class combined with Papertrey blog hop

It's Blog Hop Day at Papertrey ! The theme is a pink card. I am having a lot of fun with that Stencil class. Today Julie Ebersole used a sticker sheet as a stencil. I don't use stickers, but I made my own sticker sheet stencil with that triangle cutting plate from Papertrey. I sponged mainly on the upper right with different pinks - just like Debby Hughes showed us on day 1 of the class. I used a fine black pen to outline parts of some triangles to give them more definition. I used two of the cut outs and stamped them with Papertrey Tiny Triangles as accents, added some sequins.  The sentiment is from Papertrey - Reasons to Smile.

All That Glitters is Gold Challenge

This is my third card for th e  All That Glitters is Gold Challenge over at Moxie Fab , but it is the first one I really made for it and it is seriously golden.... I made myself a stencil with a Papertrey embossing plate, laid it on a sheet of acetate and sprayed it with glue. I pulled the stencil off and sprinkled the whole sticky mess with glitter.  The glitter is EVERYWHERE....... I used my Fresh squeezed sentiment  and mounted gold paper candy on a white strip of card stock and adhered it with double sided tape onto the acetate and an additional strip adhering the acetate to the base layer. IT seriously glitters - its really hard to photograph, so I made several pictures.  This was not really my idea. I saw something similar on the recent Scrapbook Expo I went to. I can't remember the exhibitor who had it....... And of course this card is going into the  Snippets Playground , since I used left over white card stock...

Little Tangles #21 and Make it Monday again

I like this color combination at Little Tangles  yellow, pink and grey First I thought the challenge was over, but that turned out to be not true. I wanted to use my brand new Christmas set- Merry and Bright  - a gift from my fried Ren-Yi - we finally managed to get together - more on that later.... Here is the card I made - had to be nontraditional colors, but I like how it turned out: I used silver metallic embossing powder for the sentiment and the rod - or however you call that long thingy. I used some Stickles on the ornament and the little star. It just fits well with the sentiment. I also used thin strips of silver metallic paper on the ides to "frame" it. I am also linking this up with this weeks  Simon Says challenge - Anything goes --X-- I met Ren-Yi through the Neat &Tangles Birthday bash. We discovered we both live in New Jersey - not too far apart and we finally got together for a lovely lunch an fun afternoon. --X...
