Colorful Crocs

I have made that card for Anita's birthday with the Inkspirational colors in mind, but when I wanted to link it up I saw to my dismay that the challenge was over - obviously I had miscalculated....but the new challenge was up and I immediately fell in love with their inspiration picture - see below. This is my interpretation: I kept the center panel square for the fusion sketch and I also took over the repetitive flower pattern from the fusion picture. I colored the crocs with Copics. All the stamps are Paper Smooches. Added twine from the Twinery and a button. Why don't you all just add a button to your cards and play in the House of Cards challenge - it runs for two weeks This card just puts a big smile on my face :) Challenges:  Inkspirational Paper smooches  - anything goes Fusion House of Cards - add a button (I'm on the DT there so it doesn't count) Simply Create Too - animals (also on the DT) Muse       ...

Anniversaries for Paper Smooches and Retrosketches

Paper Smooches is celebrating its 3rd year! Happy Birthday - I love you guys! I wish you many more - your stamps are so cute and always make me smile! Its also  retrosketches  challenge #100 - that is one good reason to celebrate - happy 100st challenge!!!! I hope for many more! Of course I have to play.......And the theme at  Creative Friday   is Kraft - so here we go: I made that card for a sweet little girl in Germany - the daughter of one of our former Au Pairs. She just send me a picture she made and this needs to be rewarded. I think she is going to like this card! Materials: Paper Smooches - Chubby Chums and Sentiment sampler, Washi Tape, Twine from the Twinery, self made enamel dots. Do you know you can make enamel dots yourself? I learned that on the Internet....from somebody I can't remember.... You take a bottle of white enamel accents and make little (or large) dots on a sheet of acetate, a craft sheet or I ju...

TAWS #44 and some more Christmas cards

I am back into the swing of things with another card I made yesterday for the TAWS challenge . I used the freebies that are available on the TAWS website. Here is the inspiration photo: And that's my card: You gotta love this pink Christmas tree! Anyhow I loved it so much - I put three of them on my card, colored with Copics. If you mag up the inspiration photo you'll see that there is a white painted brick wall, which I mimicked with the embossing folder - Lifestyle Crafts. The ornaments and two of the trees are elevated with foam dots and I used Twine from the Twinery. I am also linking this card with the CHNC challenge  extra- anything Christmas and the regular CHNC challenge   --X-- I also want to share with you some more Christmas cards my blogging friends surprised me with: This lovely card is from Diane - she is from Alabama - such a cool card! she digitally creates all her images - amazing! My friend Monika send...

Stamplorations

Stamplorations challenge  is all about silhouette stamps. I used a stamp set from Hero Arts called Lotus Leaves, which is all silhouette stamps. I had this set forever now - it is so pretty , but I did not get around to use it.....The big flower I heat embossed after stamping it with yellow pigment ink and sponged around it.  The small flowers I stamped with Versamark onto yellow card stock. The sentiment is Hero Arts Heart Felt Messages. Some twine from the Twinery, to balance it out. Its a bit different than my usual style, but I still like it - especially how the yellow of the flower gets repeated in the card base. I am also linking this card with Creative Friday - no Christmas card Inkspirational - Anything goes Crafts4eternity  - use something new Have a great day and thanks for visiting!

KissMoose meets Deconstructed Sketch #127

Hi, I had fun using this great sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch  and my brand new Paper Smooches set Chubby Chums. That reindeer just cracks me up and the sentiment - just fabulous! I colored the reindeer with Copics and mounted it onto Kraft. Some twine and the background paper I embossed with the subtle PTI canvas impression plate (the other side of the linen plate..) It does not really show in the picture, but it looks really good in real life. Much better than smooth card stock... I added that little red kiss... I will also put this card into the   Rudolph Day  challenge for November and my all time favorite place -  the  Snippets Playground - basically everything except the white background were snippets and  Catered Crops  - Animal House recipe swap Ribbon Carousel  - Holiday and Celebration Have a great evening and thanks for coming by!

CAS Colours and Sketches #51

I have literally no time right now, but I just found out that I was one of the top three at the last CAS Colours and Sketches challenge and I had to play - a quick card it was.... I modified the sketch a bit, but not much. The stamps I used are from a Fiskars set called Winter Wonderland. The sentiment is Mama Elephant Merry Greetings. Used some twine. The frame around the periphery I drew with a Copic marker. Since I used a snippet this card will also go into the  Snippets Playground ! I will also enter this into the CHNC challenge extra for November Tomorrow I'll have hopefully a bit more time - I have new members to say hello to - I have not forgotten you....so happy you joined, but you will get an "official" greeting, I promise!

Papertrey Blog Hop

Great idea to make tags - I love it when something comes in handy! The  Papertrey Blog Hop  task is to make at least five tags and I just managed to make my five.....Its actually the first time I made tags, so this was a new experience for me. They are kind of cute little things to make.... I discovered, that I really don't have a lot of holiday supplies from Papertrey, but enough to take part in the hop.... All the dies are Papertrey, so are the stamps. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from my favorite set called Mixed Messages. The "snowflakes" are from the  Iconic Images set and I put some Stickles on them. And of course I used Twine from the Twinery on my tags. The tag die is from Mama Elephant                                                                         ...
