Stempel Spass

Hi, Everybody!  It's time for another new challenge at House of Cards !   This time you have to add at least one button to your creation. For the next two weeks its either CAS and/or CLASSIC or ELEGANT cards. Feel free to add more than one, we just need to see at least one button on your creation! I used the pretty Gossamer stamp from Penny Black and colored it with gelatos. Added two buttons, rounded the corner and the sentiment is by PTI - Global Greetings I hope to see your creations at House of Cards ! Make it Monday is basically a direct to paper technique, where you smear the ink on paper, without dirtying up your stamps, hahaha.... Ashley Newell shows you how to do that in a video. Simple and quick - my kind of schtuff.... I needed a masculine birthday card for a friend of mine - so I picked a masculine(?) color scheme, smeared the ink on white cardstock, which I had embossed with the PTI numbers embossing plate.  The little numbers and the sentiment arealso PTI (Global Greetings) The possibilities are endless - can think of lots of color schemes here.  I am also linking this card with Seize the Birthday - the theme is texture - love it, when things just fall into place... Uh, oh - I just checked The Play Date Cafe when Linky expires - and that was in 3 hors and 39 minutes!!!! Well if you think about it  that is plenty of time, given that at the Hero Arts flickr group scramble the time limit is 90 minutes and that includes uploading your pics.... I already thought about the vellum flower thing that Betsy Veldman so expertly demonstrated on the weekly Make it Monday post from Papertrey. Originally I had something different in mind and I already had started it, but id did not work with those colors....And I don't really have a good Papertrey flower, that would work for this technique....So I pulled out one of my favorite flowers from Hero Arts, colored the vellum after heat embossing it and cut it out. I used the Papertrey Harlequin embossing folder to make the background. I first cut it, but I did not like how it shined/shone? through the vellum. So I just embossed the paper with the Harlequin embossing folder. I glittered ...

One of my former German Au Pairs' son is celebrating his fourth birthday! She took care of my daughter when she was four and now she has 3 children of her own - the last two are twins. We have been staying in contact ever since she was with us, so naturally her son is getting a card! Except for the sentiment, which is from Papertrey I used all German stamps. The mouse and the elephant are from a famous TV show and the middle one is from probably the most well known German children's book author named Janosch. His books have been translated into English and some are available in the US. I always was and still am a big fan of his drawings.  For the windows I used the Papertrey Take Tree die, the balloon is a Marvy punch. I colored the stamps after I fuzzy cut them with pencils, the eyes are done with white enamel. And if you want to know more about THE MOUSE you can watch this short video clip: Have FUN! ...
