Happy Birthday Sandie!

Hi Everyone, I made a birthday card for Sandie Munro from London Days - she is celebrating half a century of being on this planet - now that is one good reason to make a card! Happy Birthday Sandie!  To the next 50 years, woot, woot! Since Sandie is best friends with Kylie (who has a linky party going on her blog) I pulled out my HLS sets for this card - I just love that little ellie! Had some trouble with the color purple - not really present in my stash...did the best I could....added splatters and some Washi tape. I wish I could send that to you - you just have to enjoy it virtually;) - your card will hit the mailbox tomorrow... Linking up with: Time Out extra  - CAS with the optional twist of purple The Paper Players - wild animal Get Creative challenge - purple and one other color (yellow in the washi tape)

TIME OUT Reminder post

Hi Everyone, this is my second post for  TIME OUT , where I am guest designing for this challenge. It's a wonderful theme:    Inspired by Words:  Friendship is Golden.   I made my life easy here - took a prefoiled card, cut a strip off and glued a piece of acetate to make it into an A2 card again. Added the die cuts - the FRIEND is by Winnie & Walter and the rest is by Simon Says. Now it is your turn to take some TIME OUT and craft with us. What does 'Friendship is Golden' mean to you? You have until Wednesday 19th August 5pm BST to join in the fun. Linking up with: Winnie&Walter  - join in to win Snippets playground   - use a snippet (Friend die cut and sentiments) Happy Stamping!

Make some Noise

Hi Everyone, just a quick post -  I wanted to get my card in for the current Time Out challenge - again linky is about to expire.... This was my second try - the first one I did not like, but learned how to improve it. I took the MFT equalizer stencil and inked it up and then smeared clear embossing paste on it. Let it dry, added the sentiment - is by CASual Friday, the set is called Woot, Woot. Used my Hero Arts Neon inks for that - you can get them at A2z scrapbooking  at 15% off, if you use my code Cornelia15 Love how this turned out! This is the inspiration picture - just up my alley - I knew immediately I had to play, but it was difficult to find time to do it... I think I got it. The clear embossing paste adds the shine you see in the picture. Also linking up with:   OLS - Sparkle and shine  - hope the embossing past does not count as second layer - not sure... no sparkle on this card, but lots of shine - you can see it ...

Hi Everyone, welcome to the first day of our   STAMPlorations blog hop! we have 5 new stamp sets to entice you with:   Our first day features fun new sentiments called  FOND EXPRESSIONS , which are really universally useful. STAMPlorations and Time Out Challenge

Hi, STAMPlorations is the sponsor for the current Time Out Challenge , which is starting today! The theme is Valentine's Day with the optional twist of Hearts.  I sure used quite a few hearts here: I started with water color paper and made a rough heart with orangy and red Brushos. Waited for it to dry...... In the meantime I took vellum in different shades white - pink, (although you can't really see the gradation in the picture) and die cut it with Lifestyle Craft dies. I then sewed the hearts to the paper. The sentiment is from the brand new Stamplorations set -  Sentiment Builders: Love . I LOVE it! Lastly I threaded 4 tiny silver beads onto the loose threads. STAMPlorations will provide 2 prizes: a $15 gift certificate (randomly chosen from all Time Out entries) and a stencil pack ($10 value; randomly chosen from comments left on the STAMPlorations blog). You may want to visit the STAMPlorations blog to see the other fabulous cards our D...
