Woodblock Wednesday - Crocodile Thanks

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! For this card I combined this gorgeous flower stamp from Stampendous with a newly acquired crocodile by Paper Source. The die is from Penny Black. I stamped on water color paper and did some loose water coloring. The croc I stamped and cut out. Stamped one of the little flowers again and cut it out as well. I made this card as a thank you for my sister, who watered my flowers in my absence. Above you can see the wood block stamps I used. I got another crocodile stamp for my sister. What you can't see well is that I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the flowers for some sparkle. Hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Cats on Appletrees Thank You

Hi Everyone, for once there is a card not made for a DT. I made this card for my blogging friend Daniela from Stempelschublade ( stempeldani on Instagram) as thank you for those cute little Cats on Appletrees stamps and a whole lot of Marzipan she sent over the Atlantic! And since she got this card I can show it now here.  I masked off a background square and sponged with distress inks. Stamped the animals and greenery (Katzelkraft) Added the sentiment (die by Penny Black). To keep the eyes and racoon white I treated it with bleach (easier than masking). Hope you liked this and thanks for visiting!

Guest Designing for Topflight Stamps Take V

Hi Everybody,  Cornelia  here today with my fifth and last post as guest designer. I had such a great time guest designing. Thank you Donna and Lisa for picking me! I had my eyes on that gorgeous Visible Image stamp set for a while. I am so happy I could add it to my stash of treasured stamps.  My supplies: Creative Chaos  from Visible Image ,  Hunkydory Gemstones I first stamped the flowers and masked them. I then took a strip of Post it tape and tore it in half and masked off a strip on the left of my card. I sponged in  rainbow colors . Added a bit of Stickles to the flowers and the dots around the flowers. Added the sentiment and two little gemstones. I hope you liked this! CAS Mix Up Reminder

Hi Everyone, I have been asked to be guest designer at the  CAS Mix-Up challenge . You may have seen my first card HERE . And now you'll see my reminder card for this fabulous challenge. The DT supplies ample information about the topic and one can learn so much!  This month topic is all about embossing folders. If you are like me, you have a huge supply of them - but rarely used.... I am so glad I had an excuse to put at least one of them in action! For this card I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder and smeared it with Creative Expressions metallic gliding polish. I die cut the flower using a Penny black die and gold shimmer paper. The little sentiment is an ancient one from Papertrey. I also added a few gold gems. So glad I found an excuse for my embossing folder. I should use them more frequently. If you feel the same way - just play along! Shopping Our Stash Challenge 277

Hi Everyone, This is my second week as Guest Designer over at  Shopping Our Stash  - in case you don't know its a weekly challenge, where you are supposed to use something in your stash - preferably something neglected ;) This weeks challenge is  Gobble 'til you Wobble (make a Thanksgiving or a Thank you card) I pulled out this ancient set by Doodle Factory - not sure if they still exist and stamped on Yupo paper and heat embossed. You have to be careful with the heat - the paper warps very easily. I colored the pumpkins with alcohol inks and added the die cut sentiment (Penny Black) The challenge runs until Midnight November 14th - come and play along! Happy Stamping! Stamp Connection #13

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our thirteenth transatlantic get-together! And because we had one successful year we thought we invite somebody to play along to increase the fun!  This time is going to be Coni from Which Craft? I am sure you know her. If not you have to pay her a visit and admire the beautiful cards she makes - she also is one of the best commenters out there in blog land - she should have gone into creative writing!!! Seriously!!! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements and here it is:  "get inspired by a blog header" I picked Tschenny's header from Farben Froehlich  - I just love hers and honestly, what's not to love here? Stripes, dots and happy colors!  ...

Mix it Up February

Hi Everyone, I am playing in the Ellen Hudson Mix it up challenge  - this time its Penny Black. Finally an incentive to pull out my neglected PB supplies. I settled for the pretty sentiment and paired it up with Ellen Hudson stamps. Heat embossed the flowers in white and then stamped again with distress inks, after I misted the stamp with water. Used water color paper. Did some partial sponging and added water drops. In the end I also added Washi tape. Also linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge - one layer
