Stampotique Flowerbundance Challenge

Hi Everyone, we at Stampotique have a  new challenge  starting - the theme is " Flowerbundance ".   I used the beautiful flowers called Flos   and stamped them on a smooshed background made on glossy paper and distress oxide inks. Added the sentiment and a strip of silver striped Washi paper at the bottom. Stampotique Challenges run every TWO weeks...... Please remember you can use any stamps for our challenge and you are allowed to have 2 entries per challenge. From all the current months entries we will draw 2 random winners who will each win a 30.00 gift certificate on the first week of the following month. Have fun with  Hope to see you at  the  challenge ! Linking up with: The Card Concept - see picture below (got inspired by beautiful flowers over a light and airy background)

Muse #99

Hi,  I am playing again at the Muse challenge - its #99 - alone this is a reason, but the other reason is Vicki Dutcher's fabulous inspiration card that I wanted to CASE. I first had something completely different in mind, but it did not work...       So here is my second attempt: And with that one I am happy.. I used the splatter stamp from Neat&Tangled. The die is Mama Elephant and the sentiment is Paper Smooches. Added some sequins. I also added the little cut-outs from the hello as extra splatters. First I though I cut some gold sequins, but then I thought - why bother, I already have some gold accents.... Quick and easy! Here is Vicki's card: Just discovered, that by pure chance my card fits the current Little Tangles theme for this month - Saying HELLO and also Happy Little Stampers   beautiful sketch challenge. and with  Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - something new (brand new stamp and die) La...

Little Tangles and Color Throwdown combined

It' s TAGS at  Little Tangles   and a wonderful color combination at Color Throwdown #300 ! What a milestone - 300 color challenges - certainly a good reason to play. So I pulled out my favorite Neat &Tangled set  -  Everyday Labels  and made a tag - something I very rarely do - not sure why, should make one more often..... I als oadded some Paper Candi (colored with Copics) and ribbon, as you can see. The tag die is by Mama Elephant. I popped it up with foam tape.  I kind of like it - CAS and those colors - they are just gorgeous!                Thanks for visiting me today - have a great Sunday!

The Cutting Edge

There is a new challenge out there - I am sure you all know about it by now - its called The Cutting Edge , with Jackie Rockwell as the mastermind behind it! I wanted to play and I needed a card for my Dad's 95th birthday and since I had some time today I went to work on it.... You can see it a little bit, but I used some subtly textured paper for the card base (got this from my friend Anita from My Papercraft World ) and I use it sparingly, waiting for the right occasion. And clearly, the occasion could not be any better! I used my Papertrey RainbowStripes die and partially sponged it ini orange. The numbers are Papertrey too. The balloons are Mama Elephant. The plaid on them I stamped with Hero Arts Plaid Background stamp with Delicata ink - wanted to get the textured dots form the inspiration card in. And lastly the sentiment is by Hero Arts - Essential Messages I am also linking this card with Virginia's View - Die Cut and I am adding this card to th...

Dream Valley Challenge #81 "Anything Goes"

Hi Everybody,  its another challenge at  Dream Valley  and the challenge is "Anything Goes"! Are you up for this? I procrastinated forever to make a card  - until finally tonight I looked at THIS tutorial from Splitcoaststampers and knew what I should make. I made something similar in the past (you can check it out HERE  and HERE ) - Papertrey had a video by the oh so talented  Betsy Veldman about this 3-D technique. Supplies: Papertrey Birthday Die, Mama Elephant dies, sentiment: Paper Smooches Now  head over to the blog  and let our wonderful DT can inspire you! I took the colors from this weeks CAS Colours and Sketche s challenge, although my turquoise looks much more blue in the photo than it is in real life.... I am also linking this with Simon Says - Anything Goes

KIS#38

I have not played with Keep it Simple in a while - time to change that.... this is about doing something bright - not sure how bight that is, but its the best I could do tonight.... Needed a birthday card.... The stamp is by Technique Tuesday, colored with watercolor pencils. The balloon is Mama Elephant from the party kit (on foam tape) and well, an enamel dot as you can see.  Sorry for the short post  - had to work late - not much time....I wish the day had 48 hours....

Retrosketches and Creative Friday and Welcome to 2 New Members

Good news - I have two more members on my blog - yeahh, its growing and that makes me happy! I want to welcome  Desire and  Wendy Nicola I am glad you found my blog Ladies and decided to join! I picked a welcome photos for you: It is a quilt by Ellen Anne Eddy , its called "Skinny Dipping". She is a quilt artist from Indiana. This beautiful quilt was exhibited recently in a small museum close to where I live. I took a lot of pictures there, but I choose this one, because it fits my card.....It almost looks like it inspired me to make the card (maybe unconsciously......), but I choose the picture after it was done.... So, that is my card - it was a painful process and took me a few days to arrive here - so atypical for me, usually I am quite fast.... So how did I do this one - I first stamped my favorite Ryn Tanaka  water droplet stamp with Staz-on on acetate. Then I ran the acetate through a Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. Make sure the St...

Pinspired #22

Pinspired has this great inspiration photo  - I like everything about it! The stamp used is by Purple onion design, the tiny bow is by Mama Elephant. I used some designer paper as background, the little berries I added with Stickles.     Here is the inspiration photo:            I have to be brief - I am still in Chicago at my meeting. Sorry for not leaving any comments  - I'll catch up with all of you once I'll be back home.... This also will be my last entry for a few days - can't make any cards right now :(   Have a great day and thanks for visiting!
