Cure for the Monday Blues

Time to  Cure (for) the Monday Blues ....... I just got my brand new  ARTPlorations Stencils - Bubbles  - came in just in time for this challenge.... sponge d over it in yellow and then added the dots in pink neon ink, which then looks orange. The larger dot is by STAMPlorations - VIGNETTE: Retro Mod Shapes , the smaller one is Hero Arts. The nspiration picture is below - as you can see I went for the pattern on the sofa.... Added the peach circle and the happy die cut - Papertrey Wet Paint, the birthday sentiment is by STAMPlorations as well. And then of course there are a few other colors - covered them with adding various sequins and Paper Candi.  I am also linking up with   Seize the Birthday - no topping for me this time... Taheera is still sponsored by Winnie and Walter, giving away a generous gift card for the winner of her challenge - go and play!

Cure for the Monday Blues

Taheera can really get you hooked on her Cure for the Monday Blues challenge with her gorgeous inspiration pictures! I was intrigued by those pink bubbles and immediately thought "Bokeh" with sprinkles.... It is actually quite easy to achieve this. The only draw back is - its time consuming.... You make a watercolor background - very wet - needs to dry first. I found a wonderful blog by Paula - Stampinantics  where she describes how to do just that. You can visit her and see how its done ;) The die cut sentiment I tripled up -its by Simon Says, so is the stamped sentiment. Added lots of heart sprinkles Taheera has a great give away on her blog - she is the leading lady at Winnie & Walter and they are also having a birthday bash! Go and visit! Since I have a watercolor background I am also linking my card with Happy Little Stampers Just us Girls  - stencil (made the dots with a stencil) Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Something New - new...

Make it Monday and Cure the Monday Blues

When I saw the inspiration picture at  Cure for the Monday Blues  and the theme at Make it Monday  I just knew I had to combine them! The fabulous  Danielle Flanders  made a wonderful video showing you how to to gold dipped die cuts. It super easy - all you need is Versamark ink and gold embossing powder. You ink up a part of your die cut with Versamark and then sprinkle embossing powder on  it and heat emboss it. Looks great! Here is a close up All my dies are Papertrey. I did some inlaid die cut technique for the Joy. The trees are mounted on foam tape. Added gold thread. And here is the wonderful inspiration picture: I am also linking this with the Snippets Playground - its all snippets - except the card base.... Have a great day!

Cure for the Monday Blues #19

After my win for the last Cure for the Monday Blues challenge (you can see the card HERE ) I felt really motivated to play again - thanks Taheera! What really captured me in the inspiration photo was the globe - as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what to make - I just had to wait for my new order from My Favorite Things....and I got it in time!  So without further ado - here is my card: I also incorporated the wood ceiling and the banner on the wall. And all the other colors you can find them in the picture as well.  I mounted the white card stock panel onto chipboard to give it more substance and dimension. The patterned wood paper is from Michaels. I made the little banners with Washi tape. I leaned on the sketch from the STAMPlorations challenge - there is still time to play, but you have to hurry, time is running out! I am also linking this card with the Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything goes Cure for the Monday blues   ...
