Superhero

Hi Everyone, I need a birthday card for a little boy, so what' better than   playing with the  Friday Mashup  - just focusing on the Superhero theme.  All my supplies are by Paper Smooches. I fussy cut the Superman and colored him with Copics. The sentiment is heat embossed. The skyline was a bit of work, but totally worth the effort - I love how this turned out! Muse #112

Hi,  its me again with a quick post for this weeks Muse challenge . Vicki Dutcher made this awesome card (see below) that I HAD to CASE. I  love birds and I just got those crazy Tim Holtz birds - have been waiting for them forever to "fly" to my house..... The background I made with a Papertrey embossing plate, over which I sponged distress ink. The bird I colored with watercolor. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations from the brand new set Noteworthy . By the way - you still can get all the new sets for 10% off and there is free worldwide shipping until April 10th! - Perhaps you want to take advantage of that! Her is Vicki's fabulous card: Also linking up with Addicted to CAS - Cute Stempelkueche - DIY background Happy stamping Everyone!

CASEploration at STAMPloration #3

Hi Everyone, this is my second post already for today - for the House of Cards post scroll down or click HERE come and CASE with us here at STAMPlorations! Our guest designer for this month is going to be THE Kimberly Wiener from Wienerhoneymooners ! Yeahh! That girl has a lot of energy and a unique card making style! I am sure you all now her and if not - now is a good time for that. I cased her gorgeous card pretty closely - its hard to improve on that beauty: I took the single rose bud heat embossed it onto watercolor paper and colored it with distresss inks. The background is also on watercolor paper sprayed partially and colorwashed the rest. I tried it with a paper towel - you kind of can see the imprint on the paper. It has a sublte pattern, which I kind of liked and left it as is. Added Washi tape and the sentiment and two self made enamel dots. Here is Kim's beauty : Just gorgeous, right? In case CASEing gives you trouble - I took t...

iStencil

Hi Everyone,  I have some exciting news!!!! I now work with iStencils to design cards for them! I was over the moon, when they asked me to do that!!!  I absolutely love stencils and their stencils particularly appeal to me. I have that soft spot for graphic design and there is an abundance of graphic stencils at their site.  You may have seen my last card I made with an iStencil, if not you can see it HERE . This is a different one that I got on my shopping spree with them...... I finally got over my embossing paste fear and mixed myself some color. I did not completely mix the colors together, I liked the different shades I got. I used that gorgeous iStencil and overlaid it with a heart mask, that I cut out of a large post it note. Smeared the paste over it and let it dry. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/27-00002-r-sc Splattered some metallic blue spray ink. Let it dry..... I then added the LOVE die cut, heat embossed the Y...

Two More Christmas Cards

Hi Everyone, recently I got some great new stamps form Germany - they are from the Renke Manufaktur . For a long time I had my eyes on them and finally I got my hands on them, doing a little internet exchange with my friend Elisabeth ..... I used one of the stamps, which I had bought in two sizes - its called Bluetendolde . I love it, because you can use it for so many things, like what I did here, made it into a Christmas bauble. I heat embossed it in silver and gold (WOW embossing powder). The sentiment is by Mama Elephant. I added a little strip of gold glitter paper on the side. And "hung" the baubles on silver and gold strings.  Did you notice my new splashy watermark - Kylie made that for me and if you want one too, you can contact her - I made a link on the sidebar of my blog.
