Love and Joy come to You

Hi Everyone, I took a month off making Christmas cards, but now I am back - I am so glad I made all those cards throughout the year. Last year was the first year ever where I had enough cards and did not need to struggle to make them at the last minute!  I am playing along with 52CCT - it's a sketch this time.  I used a background paper from Funky Fossil Designs and added stars with a Memory Box stencil. I also die cut some stars (Lil Inkers) using shimmer silver paper. I thought it to be somewhat bland, so I used some spray at the top of the card for more color. After it dried I assembled everything. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions - it's heat embossed. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT  - sketch

Twofer #33 - Stars

Hi Everybody, it has been ages that I played along with the Twofer challenge , but this is the last challenge this year and I just needed to be part of this! The theme is stars. For my first card I used a  background paper  by Funky Fossil Designs and stitched stars by Lil Inkers. The sentiment is from  Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps . I heat embossed it. I added little bells on silver thread and some sparkly gems. For my second card I used the leftover stars from card #1 and the delightful Funky Fossil Designs stamps from the set  Christmas Characters I colored them with Inktense and markers and added splattered "snow". Both  Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps  and Funky Fossil Designs   are generous sponsors for this challenge. Please check out those companies and support them, if you like what you see! Combining AAA with LIM

Hi Everybody, there are two challenges out there that I wanted to really play along - one is Less is More  with pick a triangle and the other challenge is  AAA Cards  - made in minutes.  I figured I need to combine the two. I gathered my craft supplies - an embossing folder by Alexandra Renke, a cutting plate from Neat&Tangled, my favorite reindeer from Dixie Crafts and an already made background from my stash. I also used a Sizzix triangle die and a little star die from Lil Inkers. Once I had my supplies making the card really only took a few minutes - way under 30 minutes. I even added a bit of sponged around my die cut trianglular tree. I did die cut the deer 3 times and glued it together - goes very fast, too. Smile Crocodile

Hi Everyone, I hope this card puts a smile onto your face! As you may know, the current CAS challenge at Happy Little Stampers is "SMILE" I had to play along! The crocodile is from Paper Smooches and the smile die is by Lil' Inkers. I colored the croc with Inktense, added Wink of Stella and finally glossy accents for more umpf.... I tried to show the glimmer from the Wink of Stella, but it just doesn't show... So Suzy Tulips

Hi Everyone, I am have a photo tutorial today for So Suzy Stamps.  And since its supposedly spring (just recovering from yet another Nor Easter) - I choose those beautiful tulips for my blog post. I got inspired by a blog post from Maria Fischer from rieslingmama , who got this from Tim Holtz. I watched part of his lengthy YouTube Video , but it really is not necessary. But if you have nothing better to do, go for it! Tulip stamp : How did I get this background? I smooshed distress oxide ink onto my ancient craft mat spritzed it with water dipped the glossy side of my cheap photo paper (Costco) into the mess. Dried it and dipped again. I did not want the entire surface covered, so I stopped. But you can keep going as long as you dry your paper in between (used a heat gun). Added Finetec gold splatters. I used the acrylic plate of a stamp positioner to get an idea about how to add the tulips Stamped them onto the pape...

Ein kleines Teufelchen - a little Devil

Hi Everyone, I had fun today, making this card - is it a Christmas card - I guess not - after all there is a little devil sitting in front of my stylized water colored tree - I guess its dreaming about Christmas... You have seen this little devil before - disguised as an angel HERE and HERE , but today I show him in its "natural" beauty ;) I added Fine Tec gold water color splatters and the star is a die cut by Lil' Inkers. The devil you can find HERE . He is just too cute! If you want to see more of Alexandra Renke's beautiful products come by on December 22nd - I'll have a big surprise for you, but I won't say more for now..... Hi Everyone, I am back with a card for the  Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies  November Challenge!  As the challenge says - ANYTHING is possible, just use your dies! The inside I did with stamps by Mama Elephant. the die is Lil Inkers. So come on and play along - that's what you can win: Happy Die Cutting! Linking up with: The Flower Challenge - special occasion
