Paper Smooches Sparks and New Member Welcome!

Hi Everyone, its time for my monthly new member greeting! Stamplorations and Paper Players

My blogging friend Maria and DT buddy inspired me to play in this month Stamplorations challenge . The theme is stamps and feathers. Perhaps you'll want to join in with their challenge. I'll be starting on their fantastic DT perhaps as soon as February and like her I am waiting for my new trendy feathers set to arrive, but I am not completely featherless....So I pulled out my Hero Arts feather stamps set and thought I give the chalkboard technique over at the Paper Players another try. I also added the gold embossed fountain pen tip to the Hero Arts feather, its from the Papertrey Happy Trails set, as is the sentiment and the little ink splatter.  I stamped it all with Versamark and heat embossed it. I sponged white chalk ink along the feather and to give it some shimmer I added Perfect Pearls in the end, so now its chalkboard with a shimmer. Looks really pretty and this time I got a "very nice" out of my husband. the usual commentary is just ...

Black - White and Chalkboard

This card I made for the "Less is More" Challenge #101 . the theme is  BLACK  and  WHITE  with a  touch  or a  splash , a  hint  or  suggestion , a  dab  or a   patch  of  a  c o l o u r  of your choice! I used EK success punches and a Inkadinkadoo sentiment, which I embossed in white. The pearls I colored with a Sharpie marker, since I did not have them in orange - they are actually orange, not red. The second card is made by my sister. Since she does not have her own blog I thought I upload it for her here. She really liked the chalkboard technique from Papertrey - and here is her fantastic card, just right for the Make it Monday challenge #98: The stamps are from Papertrey "Harvest Berries", the frame she made outlining a spellbinders die. Not sure where the butterfly came from....
