Ellen Hudson Mix it up

Hi Everyone, I wanted to play in the  Ellen Hudson Mix it up  challenge with my last card, but then I forgot to put something by EH on it.....So I had to make another card.....No big deal. This month the mix up is with Neat & Tangled. I took a border set by N&T and made the background stripes. I did not try to space them evenly or ink them up to the same length. I wanted it to be somewhat random. I water colored paper in the colors you see and them die cut the EH flowers. Glued them on and added splatters and sequins. The "thinking of you" sentiment is also by N&T. My color scheme I got from the current Color Throwdown  and this card also is playing in Addicted to CAS , where the cue word is stripes and in Less Is More - repetition Happy Stamping!

JOY!

Hi Everyone, at  Less is More  they want to see GREEN and BLUE - a gorgeous color combination. And at  Addicted to CAS  the theme is JOY. Had to combine the two. Also had to take a break from making Christmas cards... If I think about joy that cute little elephant form Happy Little Stampers comes to mind - he is just so joyful! I took some distress stains and slammed them onto my cardstock. Stamped the elephant and die cut the letters - they are by Papertrey. I did not quite clean my paintbrush, so the Y is a combination of green and blue - forgive me LIM.....Put some glossy accents on the balloon. I hope I brought a little bit of joy into your life! Happy Stamping! Also linking up with: HLS - Anything Goes Addicted to Stamps and More - CAS

Dimension

Hi Everyone, Addicted to CAS has a really cool challenge going on at the moment. They want to see dimension on cards. There is quite a few ways to add dimension , but I thought I do it on an almost one layer card. Could have done one layer, but was too lazy to do an inlaid die cut...... I used an iStencil for this card and inked it with distress inks . The thanks is a die by  Simon Says, also inked it with distress inks. Added an enamel dot. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/27-00107-r-sc   Quite cool, how much dimension you can achieve.... And you know what - today is the last day for substantial savings at iStencil   , go and check it out..... Going Grey

Hi Everyone, I am going Grey for Sunday Stamps  - could not resist their inspiration picture - see below. And I also wanted to play with this weeks   Addicted to CAS chevron challenge. And I have the perfect stamp for it, I think. The Line upon Line  stamp from The Alley Way Stamps. As you all can guess - they made that one for me ;) - cool and graphic - just my thing!  I heat embossed it in clear and die some ombre sponging with Black Soot distress ink. The sentiment is also from TAWS  - all about YOU . Added seam binding. The arrow is from my die cut scrap pile. I could not resist to add the tiny neon pink strip - a little snippet lying around on my craft table. It might disqualify me from the Sunday Stamp challenge, but I could not resist. This card need a teeny tiny bit of color.... The sequin is actually pink as well, but looks purple in the picture. Hope you like it and hopefully I will not get disqualified... Happy Stampin...

Addicted to Stamps and More #152

Hi Everyone, Its challenge time at  ATSM ! For the next two weeks the theme is  Make your Mark - that means you must  use of anything that can make a mark - Stamping, Write, Markers of any kind, Painting, Chalks, Watercolours, Sponges, Stencils, Masks etc. etc. Not hard, right?  I went with stencils for this  challenge  and since we just had July 4th I went with the American flag theme. I used my beloved iStencils for this card - my favorite Stripes stencil  and that cool  Star Stream stencil The stripes stencil I have used several times so far ( you can check it out HERE , HERE  and HERE ). Again I did somewhat of an ombre fade with the stripes. The stars I made with embossing paste on blue card stock. The wonderful sentiment is from Hero Arts -  Year Round Sentiments . Do you know that I am now on the A2Zscrapbooking store  - a fabulous Hero Arts store and if you order your stamps from them you can get 15...

Happy 4th of July!

Hi Everyone,  are you enjoying your 4ht of July? I hope you do! It has been the coolest ever since I have been here for us - but warm enough to be enjoyable and to go to the pool (which I did after working most of the day....) I have been staring at the sketch for this week's  Paper Smooches Sparks challenge  for the entire week - no idea of what to do - until the threat of Mr. Linky closing - that always gets my imagination going....so I did a card in patriotic colors: I used the stamp set Super  and used the matching die. Some Washi tape and that's it. Here is the sketch: Also linking up with: Brown Sugar - Red, white and Blue Frosted Designs - Red, white and Blue with a twist (old Washi tape - brand new dies) Addicted to CAS  - Patriotic Less is More  -  RED , WHITE &  BLUE

STAMPlorations Inspiration Project #19

Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day again at  STAMPlorations !  The DT girls made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps or stencils - STAMPlorations or otherwise. Today I have been playing with  that cute set called  Small Birds : As you can see I was in one of my silly moods.... I think I have seen something like that somewhere, but I can't remember where - I tried to find it, but no luck....... I water colored the images, used an EK success punch for the speech bubbles, which I mounted with foam tape. Googly eyes - of course.... The sentiment I pieced together with letters from  Sentiment Builders: Christmas & New Year  and the question mark is from the set  Sugar Rush         So, if you are up for it - CASE my card or any other card and link it up  HERE  over at STAMPlorations. The InLinkz gallery  will be open until the 5th of June - gives you plenty of time! One w...
