Ellen Hudson Mix it up

Hi Everyone, I wanted to play in the  Ellen Hudson Mix it up  challenge with my last card, but then I forgot to put something by EH on it.....So I had to make another card.....No big deal. This month the mix up is with Neat & Tangled. I took a border set by N&T and made the background stripes. I did not try to space them evenly or ink them up to the same length. I wanted it to be somewhat random. I water colored paper in the colors you see and them die cut the EH flowers. Glued them on and added splatters and sequins. The "thinking of you" sentiment is also by N&T. My color scheme I got from the current Color Throwdown  and this card also is playing in Addicted to CAS , where the cue word is stripes and in Less Is More - repetition Happy Stamping!

World's Best Dad

Hi Everyone, I am playing with this weeks Color Throwdown challenge . At first I did not find those colors very appealing, but then I saw the cards their awesome DT created and I changed my mind! Made another Father's Day card with my new Katzelkraft stamps. Background smooshing, some wood DP at the bottom and the dog is colored with Copics and fuzzy cut. The sentiment is a Studio 112 stamp. Wishing You Brighter Days

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with this weeks CAS Colours and Sketches challenge - I have the graphic below.  A real fun sketch - different, that's what I like about it! The colors I got from the current Color Throwdown , also see below. I first thought about going quite literal with it, but then I decided against that. Used a curved die from SSS to cut my top panel and used my NBUS Uniko stamps to fill in the bottom panel. The sentiment is also by Uniko. The butterfly is a punch by Martha Stewart. Added tiny sequins and some Stickles. Also linking up with: Retro Rubber - flowers (not sure when those stamps came out - not recently, but the punch I used is OLD - years old...) Happy Stamping!

Two Birthday Cards

Hi Everyone, I made two cards today - both for kids I know. The first one is going to a little boy - I hope he likes chameleons! I for sure do! I got those stamps on my recent trip to the Allentown stamp show and was itching to try them out . They are by Local King Rubber stamps . Aren't they amazing? The sentiment is by Simon Says. The chameleon on the right comes with a matching die, the other one I fuzzy cut. I mounted both with foam tape.  I am linking up this card with: Sparkle and Shine  - see inspiration photo below. Send a Smile 4 Kids - animals My second card I made with the  Shopping our Stash  challenge - You stamped with what? Such a fun theme - had to play!!! Well  I think its pretty obvious with what I stamped - my fingers. And then added some doodles. The colors I got from the current  Color Throwdown  challenge - see picture below. And then I thought I might be able to get this into  Les...

Skateboarding into several Challenges

Hi Everyone, I have not made a card in a few days now and I really wanted to make one tonight, but I wasn't sure what to do.... ....until I saw this weeks  CAS(E) this Sketch and then it clicked! Of course I had to squeeze in a color challenge and this week's  Color Throwdown  supplied just the right colors for what I had in mind. And what's even better I also could incorporate the theme for the  Shopping our Stash  challenge - something for the big boy! Now what a fortunate coincidence! A three in one! The stamp is ancient - bought a long time ago on one of those stamp fares and so far NBUS. The sentiment is by Happy Little Stampers, the set is called Mix Mash . I love it - great fonts and happy birthday in all sorts of different sizes. I stamped the skateboarder and masked him and then sponged the strip. Really quick. - Added an enamel dot, although I was wondering if it would trip that skateboarder and catapult him off his board.....

Hi Everyone, today I have the honor of guest designing for the current Time Out challenge ! Here is the inspiration picture; So anybody who knows me also knows that this is in fact a huge challenge for me...I like CAS and colors and that picture has none of it... What to do??? Well, I solved it, as you can see.  Thank goodness for STAMPlorations stamps :) The famous landmarks and the background stamps are all by STAMPlorations. The rest is by Papertrey. Yeahh for  Freshly Made Sketches - BIG CONGRATS!!!!! So  I finally got an idea... Still drawing on Jennifer McGuire's  fab faux metal technique and getting the colors from Color Throwdown So pleased with the outcome - its just an amazing  technique . Using my  new  WRMK ( We're Memory Keepers)  embossing folder. Inked with distress inks and Perfect Pearls. The sentiment and die cut are by Papertrey. The little butterfly is a punch by  Martha Stewart. Used  some  Washi tape and glossy accents.  Here is another view - just love the way it looks. Also linking up with   the  Snippets Playground  - use a snip...

Hats and Mustache

Hi Everyone, back to my usual CAS style - taking a little break from those crazy birds....as I said - I need a few more Father's Day cards.... I am playing with Mel's   which is pure fun - every day a different sketch for 7 days. I am trying to make all 7 days....kept it simple with Washi tape and a variety of hats from Studio 112. The sentiment is from Studio G.  so both real cheapo stamps, but fun! Linking up with: Color Throwdown Kreativsuechtig - 7 days/7 sketches - day1 The Male Room  - Washi tape Simon Says Wednesday challenge - masculine AAA Cards challenge  - for the guys Happy stamping!

Halloween Tag card

I decided to combine a couple of challenges with this Halloween card for this, using an old tag die from Sizzix for the headstones The ghost is also an ancient die from Sizzix as well. Did a little stamping with a recollections stamp and added Washi tape, string and Paper Candi. I am also playing along in a couple of challenges: Inkspire Me  - Fall/Halloween Tag - You're it Color Throwdown #312
