Guest Designing for 52CCT - Green and Red

Hi Everyone, The new challenge at  52CCT , where I am honored to be guest designer for this week. The theme is Green and Red  - very traditional colors, so I went with non-traditional stamps, LOL! I used a left over background from a prior project (water colored). I stamped the monster and dog (Stampotique) onto scrap paper, colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out. Stamped them again onto the card base and added the cut-outs. Added the sentiment (Ellen Hutson). I trimmed the card and added my favorite strip of patterned paper at the bottom. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! and don't forget to kink up your card with  52CCT ! Happy Stamping!

Snowman and Deer

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Christmas card.  I am playing along with 52CCT - the theme is Snowman and Deer.   I used the beautiful  White Winter Magic paper pad  from Funky Fossil Designs for the background. The funny snowman and deer are a Stampers Anonymous set that I bought a while ago and have only used once before. I stamped the deer directly onto the paper. The snowman I stamped onto scrap paper and cut him out. I colored them with alcohol ink markers. The sentiment is from an Ellen Hutson set set. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Linking up with: 52CCT  - Paper Piecing

Katzelkraft - Time To Make Merry

Hi Everyone, as you all know, Wednesday is Katzelkraft day on my blog.  For today's post I got inspired by the current 52CCT challenge - the theme is under the Sea. And as I am terribly behind in Christmas card making I thought I take advantage of that. I stamped the Santa hat, masked it and then stamped the fish and masked it. Made the background with distress oxide inks and a stencil. The light chain is from the set Noel sleigh. I used bleach to get the stripes lighter. The sentiment is by Ellen Hutson. Les Marins  -  KTZ226,  Noel Sleigh  -  KTZ214      KTZ191     (FRANCE) Les Marins  -  KTZ226,  Noel Sleigh  -  KTZ214  (USA)   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration!  If you feel the urge to buy any Katzelkraft products, you can also order them in the US from those companies...

Muse Christmas Visions #108

Hi Everyone,  for the next two weeks Kimberly Wiener is going to be your Muse at  Muse Christmas Visions . And here is her modern Christmas card : I went with the ombre coloring and 3 trees, which are from So Suzy Stamps (you can find them HERE and HERE ).  I also masked the center tree and sponged it in a lighter green. The frame I doodled with an Ellen Hutson sentiment nestled in between. Added liquid enamel drops, just like Kimberley.  Really simple.   Have fun CASEing. I can't wait to see what you will come up with! So come and  play along ! You'll have lots of time, the linky list closes at 7:59 AM EST on Monday, September17th. See you at MCV! Mix It Up - A Perfect Fit

Hi Everyone, I had to play with the Mix it up challenge over at Ellen Hutson. The mix-up this time is with Hero Arts. After all I have a ton of Hero Arts stamps, that I have not used in a really long time... So I mixed them up. The Hero Arts set is Cl261. The sentiment is by Ellen Hutson. I did some masking, sponging and coloring with Inktense pencils. Added a strip of PP at the bottom and some Bakers twine on top. Two Cards

Hi Everyone, I have two cards today, trying to play in some challenges, one of which is soon going to end. My first card I made for The Ton - gotta play in their first challenge! their theme is celebrate and yes they sure have a good reason to celebrate - they just had their anniversary and with all those gorgeous stamps they are selling they are going to be around for a very long time! I used those wonderful peony dies  - I just love them! They cut the glitter paper so well. I have tried cutting glitter paper before with other dies (won't mention the company) but it did not really work for me. Those cut like butter! I added the sentiment (also from The Ton) to a strip of black glitter paper and heat embossed it. added two blue gems. --------------- My second card I made for Ellen Hudson - its "Mix it up with Avery Elle " I recently bought that cute Avery Elle set with the tree in the car (because I need more Christmas stamps...) and i...

Fall Bouquet

Hi Everyone, time to play in a few challenges! I love the mood board Ellen Hudson has this month and pulled out my supplies.  I got most inspired by the middle picture with those Geraniums. All my supplies are by Ellen Hudson, except for the torn border die - that is by CUTplorations. Added black splatters. Stamp Connection #12

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our eleventh transatlantic get-together! This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: She picked "create your own background using small stamps". I took  that gorgeous W&W set My Precious , which has all those pretty little gems. I stamped them onto water color card stock and heat embossed them in white. I water colored them in and water colored the background. Added the big FRIEND - die cut it twice. Once with aqua paper and once with hot pink fun foam. The precious is heat embossed in white and cut at an angle for more interest. I also added some Wink of Stella, but it does not show on the photo. Linking up with: Winnie&Walter - Rerun - my...
