Happy Easter

Hi Everyone, I wish you all a Happy Easter! I used an egg die from QuicKutz. The cute little animals are by Cats on Appletrees. A real simple card. The  Happy Easter sentiment  is from Crackerbox Stamps. Love its pretty font. Crackerbox Stamps also has an Easter sale going on until Monday - 15% off everything and free shipping on US orders of more than $45. Great deal! I trimmed the card and added a strip of patterned paper on the side. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting! Happy Easter and happy stamping! Stamp Connection #47

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2rd Sunday of the month and this is our 47th transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements: Easter card with embossing folder and die cuts Awhile back I bought some goodies by Alexandra Renke, which you nowadays can thankfully get in the US and I really wanted to use them. The gorgeous dotted embossing folder has a star in the center, but its covered up by the egg, so it works for Easter as well.  I swiped an inkpad lightly over the embossed dots, as I wanted a bit more contrast. The bunnies are also by Alexandra Renke. The egg is a Lifestyle Crafts die. The little blue strip is a snippet from an alcohol ink background. Lets check out   Tanja's artwork! ...

Stamp Connection #24

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 24th transatlantic get-together! We also have the talented Daria from My Creations joining us. This time it was Tanja's turn to pick the requirements: Pop Up Box Card I already did a practice run with my Spotlight card over at STAMPlorations, where I made a tutorial on how to do this. It is not quite as much work as you think it may be - otherwise I would not have made two of those.... I used my favorite bunnies from Impression Obsession, the grass is from Clearly Besotted, the small eggs (PP) are a balloon punch from which I trimmed the nipple off to make it look more like an egg. The big egg is a QuicKutz die. I used the water color paper I made for my spotlight...

7 Days 7 Sketches Day 2 and 3

Hi Everyone, playing with 7 Days 7 Sketches - onto day 2 and 3:  First   DAY 2 , of course....I had a LOT of trouble with that sketch. My first try was so bad, it was unsalvageable - almost unheard for me. I threw it out. My second try is okay. I should have probably been not so focused on Father's Day, but whatever.... I think the sketch is easier for a layout than a card - but that is probably just a meager excuse..... Materials: stamps: Hero Arts - Shoot for the Moon (Cl773), Papertrey - ancient Fathers Day set, Neat&Tangled - big splatter Simon Says square stitched die Dylusion ink spray splatters doodled frame-not a supply, just hand drawn Also linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Masculine Now DAY 3 : A much easier sketch for me :))) Materials:  Papertrey - ancient Fathers Day set - cut away that frame that you see in the above card, should have cut if off for that o...

Happy Easter and Washi Birthday

I wish all my dear followers and visitors   Happy Easter! Thank you for all your kind comments and for your frequent visits - they are very much appreciated! Cath Edvalson at Moxie Fab has all those cool challenges going on - I am sure you know about them. One is about Washi Tape. I do own some...., but I rarely use it. I really don't know what to do with it. I like Jennifer McGuires suggestion - she uses it instead of repositional tape and it really is fabulous for that. But regardless,  I decided to try to use it for what is is designed..... and made a card for my nephew's birthday: I taped the Washi tape onto card stock and then ran it through my Big Shot in a Sizzix embossing folder - works beautifully, I think. I totally blends with the paper. You can't even tell its separate. The arrows are die cuts from QuicKutz and the sentiment is Studio 112.
