Funky Fossil - Golden Stag

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Funky Fossil card. I used the  geometric stag stencil  again - just such a majestic stencil! I used gold embossing paste on patterned paper. I actually had this lying around for a while, because I really didn't like the way it looked until I had the idea to sponge the paper with dark green ink. Well, that did the trick. Used a sentiment that was also flying around on my craft desk for a few weeks now..... Added FineTec gold mica splatters. Happy Stamping! A2z Scrapbooking and Gold Embossing

Hi Everyone, this is  Cornelia  here today using embossing paste and one of my favorite Hero Arts dies - the Palm die . You probably know that this month  A2Z Scrapbooking challenge  is all about using embossing paste and perhaps you want to play along! I am also keeping it clean and simple with my card: I used the  Hero Arts Triangle stencil (SA059)  with Wendi Vecchi Gold embossing paste. Let it dry. Added the palm leaves die cut in heavy duty vellum and a little leftover snippet from a prior card in gold . The sentiment is from the Hello Sunshine set (Cl776), heat embossed in white and mounted with foam tape.   I hope you will get a chance to join our  monthly challenge .    Remember - Hero Arts Products are required.  This challenge runs though the end of the month. You have a chance to win a $25 gift card to the a2z Scrapbooking Store. The  a2z Scrapbooking store   takes care ...

Simply Create Too #51

There is a new challenge starting at the Simply Create Too challenge blog - the theme is SNOW or USE ONLY WHITE. You have two weeks to play in it! I made my own embossing paste for this card - the recipe you can find    HERE . It costs  literally  nothing and its quick and easy. When I first made it I was worried, that it would flake off, but that has not happenend.  It stayed silky smooth and pliable.   I took one of my TCW stencils, took a PTI star die and masked the star of the stencil with washi tape. I then smeared the embossing paste onto the stencil, which I had taped onto textured card stock and let it dry.  I die cut two stars using glitter paper, mounted them on dimensional tape and "hung" them on a silver string. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant - Merry Greetings. I am also entering this card into: The  Snippets Playground  CHNC challenge   - anything Christmas    Simon Says ...

Make it Monday with homemade embossing paste

At  Make it Monday its create your own stencil and use embossing paste cooked up by the talented Danielle Flanders . Alright - making a stencil  - no big deal - I have done that before several times, bu the embossing paste....Now ages ago I actually bought that stuff and got excited thinking I finally going to use it - but guess what? It was totally dried up .... So whats a woman to do ? Well I have flour at home and water - this is much cheaper - so here is the recipe: 2 T flour (T =  stands for tablespoon) 1 T water  1/2 t white acrylic  paint - mix (t =  teaspoon) Here is my stencil - made out of one of those cards that I get for donating money.... I use them for many things - they are great for stencils, shims, etc...  Smear the paste over it - just as Danielle showed you, but I did not use a credit card - a thin acrylic block works like a charm.. Lift the stencil off This was white on Kraft. But then I p...
