Funky Fossil Designs - Make a Wish

Hi Everyone, here is another card I made with the new release from  Funky Fossil Designs !  I used two of the new sets:  Geo Elements                                 Graphic Words I stamped the shape from the Geo Elements onto paint chips and cut them out. Added some Washi tape  . Stacked the cut out shape and stamped the sentiment. I hope you liked this and thanks for visiting. Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Time Out Challenge   - Birthday

Muse #70 combined with a few other challenges

My friend Vicki over at the Muse designed a stunning card to use as inspiration. With Fathers Day being almost here I turned it into a Fathers Day card.... I got inspired by the horizontal stripes, the bold sentiment and the raised banner I used paint swatches since they come striped already and heat embossed the sentiment - STAMPlorations sentiments builders . I added a black line about the right side of each of the small letters to give it more dimension. The raised round I cut four times using a Nestabilities die. The sentiment and the bowler hat are Studio G stamps. Here is Vicki's fabulous card:                                                   I am also adding this card to:                                               ...

Simply Create Too #59 - No Stamped Images

Hi Everybody, its time for a new challenge at  Simply Create Too ! This time we ask you to make a card without stamped images. No so easy, at least for me......I LIKE stamping! A stamped sentiment is okay (thank goodness!) Here is my card: T learned this on a previous Make it Monday from Papertrey - layered die cuts. Its really neat and a great way to display your border dies. The "paper" is really paint chips (courtesy of Home Depot). The sentiment is Papertrey Mum's the Word. I added some Paper Candy. I hope to see you there!

Simply Create Too #55

Happy Valentine's Day everybody!  But its too late to make a card for this occasion....Lets start working for St. Patrick's Day! Simply Create Too has just the right challenge for you - its GREEN or St. Patrick's Day I made this card with paint chips. Stamped those beautiful Stamplorations flowers from the set "eclectic florals" on them with Versamark and heat embossed it in white.  The sentiment is from the set - Graphic Pentagon . Added silver thread and sequins for some sparkle. You'll have until 2/27 to link up your card! I am looking forward to your creations!

Make it Monday #132

This week we have to use layered die cuts on the Make it Monday feature by Papertrey. The talented Dawn McVey  explains in a tutorial how to do that. She has some valuable tips on how to make this as easy as possible! I used a paper swatches from Home Depot  for this card. Since it was kind of drizzly and cloudy yesterday, I opted for a sunny yellow.  Supplies: Papertrey Rickrack border dies and Filigree Border Die, Papertrey Think Big Favorites, gems.  I frequently use paper swatches for my cards. They have great colors and you immediately get matching colors in the same color group. On Operation Write Home  Nancy talks about those swatches and you can link up your card. Hm - I am wondering if this could be put into the Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground , because of my use of paint swatches??? I'll let Diane decide that.... And lastly I am linking this up with the Die Cut Divas - Let's celebrate challenge

Make it Monday #117

I started to fall in love with the  Make it Monday challenges .... this week it it paper piecing. I don't really have any Papertrey stamps that lend themselves easily to this technique, so I improvised... I used the QuicKutz colorwheel die (got that one really cheap on their outlet site) and used the Papertrey Dot spot set, which I heat embossed in white. The sentiment is Papertrey Happy Trails I added a gem in the center - I hope this counts for the technique.... The color wheel is pieced together with pain chips. I wanted to thank everyone for all their lovely comments - it is so nice to read them! thank you for taking the time to do that!

Muse and CAS-ual Fridays

I have been a member on the new Muse blog since its very beginnings and so far have not managed to create a card for it - although I have voted twice.....But now, my first entry: Marion Vaggs card below is the inspiration card. I followed it closely with those monochromatic horizontal stripes, but I did not stamp on it. I used a TWC stencil over which I just partially sponged Versamark ink and them white embossed it. I did not want to cover the entire strip with the template - I thought that would be overpowering. The sentiment is die cut, using my old Cuttlebug alphabet dies. The sentiment is elevated with foam dots and I put a little pearl onto the "i". Since I did not use any stamp I will also add it to the CAS-ual Fridays challenge  and since its monochromatic it fits the Make my Monday challenge as well. And because its green its going into the  The Die Cut Diva's challenge - Anything Green .
