Feline Birthday

Hi Everyone, this is my second post for today - for the STAMPlorations blog hop post click HERE  (you would not want to miss that one). the whole week I wanted to play in the color Q challenge and if you see the inspiration picture you'll know why - just my thing - CAS and graphic. I love those cat mugs. So what better to use than that funky Paper Smooches set Feline Friends! I need a birthday card for a soon to be 6 year old boy - I think he'll like it! Added a brad to be able to play with Retro Rubber. The Feline Friends is an older stamp set, although not sure exactly how old, but certainly older than one year. The sentiment is die cut from pain chips and is also by Paper Smooches. Added some string, to keep it from "flying" away, ;) The 6 is by Papertrey.  I "grounded" those cats with a credit card, added glossy accents to the glasses and googly eyes to the grey cat. Guest Designing at Retro Rubber #10

Hi Everyone, I got invited to join in the fun for the next two weeks at Retro Rubber ! This is a fun challenge - you have to use your older stamps! What a great excuse to pull them out again and have them smell some ink! This week's challenge is real easy - its heat embossing! I pulled out this Hero Arts triangle background stamp, inked it up with Versamark and sprinkled WOW gold embossing powder in the center. For the outer part I used white embossing powder. That WOW embossing powder is amazing. Its very detailed and has a wonderful gold tone. I sloshed watercolor around ti and let it dry. Heat embossed that fun STAMPLorations HAPPY stamp from the  set  SENTIMENT BUILDERS: Happy  on vellum and attached it. The 50 is by Papertrey and the sequins are MFT.  I also wrapped some thin gold thread around the vellum. The numbers are mounted with foam  tape, as is the large sequin. I made that card for an "old" friend of mine - its going to Germany!...

Easter Card 7 Days- 7 Sketches

Hi, a very quick post for now....yesterday I visited Mel's blog and guess what - a new challenge! You know that I am a challenge junkie. Best of all - not much time. I am also a last minute gal most of the time - I do best under pressure. So this was a real challenge for me - tags!!! I am tag challenged, that is for sure... I am in Easter card mode - made a bunch of them  - you'll get to see them all, eventually. So here we are 3 tags, 3 bunnies - 1 card..... Kraft and gold - looks pretty I think. Love those bunnies - they are hopping around on all of my cards so far. They are by Impression Obsession. The sentiment is form Michaels - it had some ugly frame around it - cut that one off..... Linking up with Kreativsuechtig  -  and with Retro Rubber  - tag you are it     Have a great weekend - spring is coming!!!
