Sweet Mathilda

Hi Everyone, today I have a special post, as I got this very special stamp hand carved from my friend Donna Grey, know an Inkyandquirky on Instagram. I made it a while ago and waited for the card to arrive at her house before I show it, but the American postal workers must have been utterly confused where the United Kingdom is, despite me making sure and also writing ENGLAND on the letter, but the card came back....So I sent it out again and its about time to show it here The tiny mouse is by Basik&Co, the thank you strip is an ancient Hero Arts stamp and the "so sweet" - I can't remember. Its such a long time ago that i made that card.....As usual I colored with Inktense, but Mathilda - that's how I named the kittie got an undercoat of white acrylic paint. Day of the Month Card Club - National Dandelion Day

Hi Everyone, welcome our second  Day of the Month Card Club challenge ! It's " National Dandelion Day " day, which is celebrated on April 5th.  Many people consider dandelions weeds, but they are actually edible and are  rich in vitamins A, B, C, and D. They are delicious in soups and salads. They also bloom early, giving bees and insects well needed nourishment after the long winter.  The technique for this card I learned from Heindesign . It is quite simple. Tear some post it notes and mask a square. Take acrylic paint and paint stripes onto the masked area and then spread the paint with a sponge a bit so you can still see the original stripes, but not so much as to smear all the paint together. Let it dry. Dab white acrylic paint onto your stamp and stamp. Clean off the stamp immediately after use. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations. Now I hope you will have time to  play along!
