Katzelkraft - Forgotten English Words IV

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I discovered this cool Instagram feed, called  the.language.nerds  and their post about forgotten English words that are very relevant today. This got me thinking I should create cards for those words. I made a mini series and here is my fourth card: In case you want to see my previous cards: The first card you can find  HERE The second card you can find  HERE The third card you can find  HERE I stamped the skinny critter onto the card and masked him. Added the chess figures and brushed the sky background with an Altenew stencil. Masked the floor and did some more brushing. Added some shadows for the chess figures and the critter.  I printed out the word and explanation on my printer.  Cut the sentiment apart, drew a frame around it and added it to my card.  The stamp I used is from the following set: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Les Branches  - KTZ245,  (FRANCE) ...

Katzelkraft - Chess Problem

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I had to pull out that chess set again - It just is so much fun to play with! I decided to add that frightened dog to my board. Looks like he just lost his game.... I first stamped the chess pieces on scrap paper. Did a bit of coloring and cut them out.  I stamped the chess board and did some light sponging. Stamped the dog and colored him with water brush pens.  I then added the chess pieces to the board. I stamped the sentiment, doodled a frame around it and cut it out and added it. Drew in some light shadows for the chess pieces and the dog. The stamps I used are from the following set: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Dog Stamps  - KTZ296,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276    ( FRANCE)  The King's Gambit  - KTZ279,  You are Purrfect  - KTZ296,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraf...

Katzelkraft - Go Ahead, Make My Day!

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I had to pull out that chess set again - It just is so much fun to play with! I decided to add some weird Zebras to my board, LOL! I first stamped the Zebra with the sweater and masked it. I then added the chess pieces and the board. I stamped the bowling pin Zebra onto scrap paper, colored the Zebras with alcohol ink markers and cut it out. I extended the chess board a bit. Sponged the background (masking the "sun").  I heat embossed the sentiment and added it to the card.  The stamps I used are from the following set: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Les Jungles  - KTZ168, Les Quilles - KTZ233,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276   ( FRANCE)  The King's Gambit  - KTZ279,  Jungle Animals  - KTZ168, Les Quilles - KTZ233,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Tha...

Katzelkraft - Le Gambit des Rats

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I had actually made that background for the card I showed a little while ago , but I did not like it - it was too busy for it. But I figured I used it for a different card and here it is! I heat embossed the chess figures and loosely masked them. I made the background with Infusions ( Sleight Blue ) and Brushos (Ost. Blue). Moved the colors around a bit. I colored the rats and cut them out. Added them to the card. The sentiment is from the set  Whatchamacallit . It is heat embossed as well.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Rats - KTZ179, Whatchamacallit   - KTZ276   ( FRANCE)  The King's Gambit  - KTZ279,  Rats - KTZ179,   Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft -- Lets spend the Knight together

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. I figured the chess set needed more ink. I stamped the chess pieces and heat embossed them  in black. Loosely water colored the background. Also decided to color the knight. I stamped the Zebra from the Jungle set and colored it. Cut it out and added it to the card. My husband came up with the sentiment. I printed it with my computer. I had no fitting sentiment in all of my stamp supply - amazing how that goes, right?! Lastly I trimmed the bottom a bit and added a strip of black card stock at the bottom. The stamps I used are from the following sets: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Jungles - KTZ168 ( FRANCE)  The King's Gambit  - KTZ279,  Les Jungles - KTZ168   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Katzelkraft - Checkmate

Hi Everyone, I am back with my weekly Katzelkraft post. For this weeks card I wasn't that happy with my first card, so I made a second one with the same stamps, just slightly different layout and different colors. I wonder, which one of them you like better?  Did my usual masking and sponging and colored the figures with water colors. Trimmed the side and added a strip of designer paper. Different color scheme - stayed more in the same color family. Looking at both of them I actually can't really decide which one I like better and why I wasn't so happy with my first try.... The stamps I used are from the following sets: Le Gambit du Roi - KTZ279,  Les Quilles  - KTZ233 ( FRANCE)  The King's Gambit - KTZ279, Les Quilles - KTZ233   (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting!
