Paper Smooches, 10 minute craft dash and 2 New Members!

I have great news - 2 new members have found their way  to my blog! Thank you for joining in and helping my blog grow! I want to extend a warm WELCOME to  Shaz-in-Oz   she not only makes beautiful cards, takes great photos but also specializes in calligraphy - I am glad you can't see my handwriting  - its nothing to be proud of.... and Donna an awesome paper crafter. Right now she does a year in review - hop on over and see her beautiful work. And as customary I have a welcome picture for you. I took it in Chicago, where I attended a conference at the McCormick Center a few week ago. This glass work is by  Costas Varotsos , a greek artist, who does just amazing things with glass. I hope you like it as much as I do. But if not maybe my card puts a smile on your face...... --X-- Its ANYTHING GOES at  Paper Smooches  this week. By far my favorite kind of challenge.... I have a couple of kids birthdays coming up, s...

10 Minute Craft Dash #23 and KIS #20

It's a birthday Party over there at the 10 Minute Craft Dash - Happy Birthday to Paulina and her DT and many more!!  There is a blog hop going on there and there are many fun prizes to win! I used a Mr. Huey mask and Smooch Spritz on watercolor paper to have it dry faster. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I added some sequins. Below are photos from my kitchen timer - it counts down from 10 minutes - it took me 9 minutes and 29 seconds to make this card. At Kis the requirement is CHEVRON for this month, so I am linking this card up there as well.

10 minute craft dash combined with CAS(E) this sketch

Again I combined two challenges - the 10 minute craft dash and CAS(E) this sketch : Here are the a"requirements":                 And here is my card: I used a punch for the circle, the bird is from Memory Box - perched Reed Bird,. I embossed the blue paper with the Papertrey Woodgrain embossing plate. The sentiment is an ancient Heidi Grace stamp. Little enamel dots for the eyes..... Thankfully we don't have to add up the time it takes to think about what we do, to get all the supplies and to clean up afterwards.... just making the card took 9 minutes and 13 seconds. I wish you all a beautiful and relaxing weekend. Not sure how much relaxing I'll get to do... we have our local library sale, which I love to go to, the Hero Arts scramble is on flickr today and my in-laws are coming over  tomorrow - that means cooking and cleaning.....

10 Minute Craft Dash #18

I could only think Baby card when I saw those colors at the 10 minute craft dash. ... And that's what I did: The elephants are Studio G stamps, for the sentiment I used Papertrey - Year round puns, some Washi tape and enamel for the eyes. Mounted it on foam dots. The whole card took exactly 8 minutes and 26 seconds. --X-- Again I wanted to thank everybody for all the nice and supporting comments I am always getting  - I love it!

10 Minute Craft Dash #16

The 10 Minute Craft Dash has 3 pretty colors this week. After I pulled out my Watercolor stamps by Hero Arts a little while ago for the scramble I though I may as well use them for the dash.  I knew exactly what I wanted to make and thought it would be rather quick. I masked my panel off the white card base and started sponging leisurely. Inked up my stamps with the same colors and put them over the panel, placed the sentiment and checked my stop clock - panic - only less than a minute to go - grabbed my bottle of glossy accents and tried to adhere the sequins - lost one, grabbed the next and puh.... 9 minutes and 58 seconds, just made it in the nick of time....If I would have gone over I would have just done it again - wasting less time sponging and maybe omitting the sequins. But I think it looks prettier with them. What do you think? I am also submitting this card to the Simon Says Anything Goes challenge Materials: Hero Arts ...
