Stamplorations Sketch Challenge #22

Hi Everyone, its sketch challenge time at STAMPlorations !  You'll see it below, but first my DT card:  You know I love Halloween, so I could not resist..... I was using the  Vignette:  Celebrate Artsy  to make this card - the ghost on the left is the real stamp, the one on the right is the same stamp, but inked up the backside of it. The  sentiments  are from Marhta Stewart and IO. Some sponging to comply  with  the sketch and Washi tape, boo-hoo! Our fabulous guest designer for this challenge is  Leslie  from The Crooked Stamper!  The PRIZE for this challenge: The sketch challenges are sponsored by our sister shop,  All About Scrapping . The winner gets to pick 3 DIGITAL products from the shop — any combination of  printable sheets ,  Photoshop templates , and  digital paper packs . The winner will also be invited to be a Guest Designer in next month's sketch chal...

STAMPlorations and Brushos

Cornelia here today, playing again with Brushos - my new favorite "toy" I just love those colors! And Brushos are so easy to use. Here is my tutorial: I started out with water color paper, Versamark and that beautiful STAMPlorations Damask background stamp. I used mu embossing buddy first, to get clean embossing.  Her is a little trick I learned from Jennifer McGuire - on large stamps I put the paper on the stamp and then rub my fingers over the paper to get all the ink onto the paper rather than pressing the stamp onto the paper. You see that I did not even bother to remove the stamp from its plastic sheet.... I sprinkled it with white embossing powder - clear would probably work just as well, but my clear embossing powder is not as fine as my white one and I wanted all that detail.  I sprinkled various Brusho greens onto the paper, starting with turquoise at the top. The paper then looks like you added a little bit of pepper from...

Spotlight on Celebrate Artsy - Rainbow Medallions

Hi, its Cornelia here! Today I want to explore some options with this fabulous set from STAMPlorations called Celebrate Artsy . I have already played around with it in the past (click HERE if you want to see more),  it has so much potential! Recently over at Papertrey's Make it Monday Dawn McVey made a great video about rainbow medallions. I really wanted to try this out, but did not have time for it. Besides that I thought the STAMPlorations stamps are perfect for this and I could not have used them for Papertrey..... I did do this a little bit differently than Dawn - I have some pictures below. But first the cards: For the first card I used that stamp that in my eyes looks like a fish (I made a fish card with it previously) The sentiments are from the  Sentiment Builders set: Happy . I fuzzy cut the HAPPY. Rounded the corners of the card. For the second and third card I used the open oval and also  the  Sentiment Builder...

Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #104

Hi ,  its challenge time at  Addicted to Stamps and More ! We have an easy one for you for this week - its CAS! Don't we all just love this! Although they are not always that simple to make.... I choose to do a one layer card and in celebration of Germany's world cup victory I decided to go with a soccer theme here..... Since I am German I naturally rooted for the German team - although I did not watch the game.... had better  more important things to do ;) The colors of the German flag are black, red and yellow - those ovals are actually my fingerprints - I did some generational stamping here. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations - Celebrate Artsy. The soccer ball - no idea.... We have a generous sponsor this week - its: http://www.eurekastamps.com/ The winner will receive 3 free digis of her choice! So come on over to the  ATSM challenge blog   and get some  inspiration from our wonderfully creative DT   a...

Spotlight on STAMPlorations "Celebrate Artsy"

Hi STAMPloration friends,  Cornelia  is here today! I am sure you have seen all the new STAMPlorations stamp sets that got released for  STAMPlorations's first birthday celebration . Today I want to  share  some cards with you that I made with my favorite set from this release - its  the    Celebrate Artsy Vignette set : It has soooo many possibilities! You can use it as background, but you can also use it as stand alone stamps. As you can see, I was playing around and got a little silly here. I did some generational stamping in the first card, drew the ears and tail onto the doggie. The "dear friend" is from the  Trendy Feathers set . The second card is even simpler - I can envision some Halloween theme with it too - just not in the mood yet.... The "Missing you" is from  Holiday Artsy . Added the googly eyes and those tiny punched hearts. Now go, "stretch" your stamps and get silly, too! So muc...
