STAMPlorations Inspiration Project #22

Hi Everyone, its INSPIRATION day again at  STAMPlorations !  Our wonderful DT girls made some beautiful cards to entice you playing with your stamps or stencils - STAMPlorations or otherwise. And perhaps I can also inspire you to play along with us! This is a very simple one layer card - used the brushstroke and stamped the butterflies on it. Added the sentiment, some white accents and two enamel dots. You can make that in 5 minutes....but it took me longer than that - Had to think this trough and  decide with which color challenge I should play along, etc, etc...... Here are my supplies: Vignette: Celebrate Artsy Trendy Butterflies Bold Sentiments: Hello So, if you are up for it - CASE my card or any other card and link it up  HERE  over at STAMPlorations. Curing the Blues....

Hi Everyone, a quick post today.... I made this card for a friend of mine (who loves shoes) and  is going through some though times right now. Hopefully this will cheer her up! I stamped those STAMPloration shoes on colored card stock, added some shading and fuzzy cut them. Mounted them with foam tape after adding cloth and Washi tape to the card base. Stamped the sentiment and doodled the frame around it, to comply with the Pink Elephant sketch :) Linking up with: ColourQ  - see below Kraft Journal  - anything goes Girlfriends Pink Elephant Challenge  - sketch Snippets Playground - the shoes are snippets Happy Stamping!

Feline Birthday

Hi Everyone, this is my second post for today - for the STAMPlorations blog hop post click HERE  (you would not want to miss that one). the whole week I wanted to play in the color Q challenge and if you see the inspiration picture you'll know why - just my thing - CAS and graphic. I love those cat mugs. So what better to use than that funky Paper Smooches set Feline Friends! I need a birthday card for a soon to be 6 year old boy - I think he'll like it! Added a brad to be able to play with Retro Rubber. The Feline Friends is an older stamp set, although not sure exactly how old, but certainly older than one year. The sentiment is die cut from pain chips and is also by Paper Smooches. Added some string, to keep it from "flying" away, ;) The 6 is by Papertrey.  I "grounded" those cats with a credit card, added glossy accents to the glasses and googly eyes to the grey cat. Make it Monday with Colour Q

Hi Everybody, just a quick post today..... I made a card for this weeks  Make it Monday over at Papertrey,  where talented  Laurie Willison shows us how to use Cover Plate dies to create stencils to be used with embossing paste. I used my favorite new embossing plate from Papertrey to make this card and the colors I took from this weeks Colour Q  challenge.  I made myself a stencil form the cover plate, smeared embossing paste over it and let it dry. I then inked it with distress inks. The die cut sentiment is Papertrey as well, the happy is by MFT as are the die cut sequins.  Hope you like it! I am also adding this card to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - add a little texture

colourQ challenge #192

A geometric pattern is the inspiration photo at the colourQ - that is for me! So I fiddled round with tiny paperstrips to recreate the pattern and I am quite happy with the result - it was worth my time  - what do you think? I left out the black squares - I wanted it to be a bit softer.... The die cut is from Memory Box - Chloe Stem, Hero Arts Essential Messages. Here is a close up: This is my second post today, but I did not wan tot miss the deadline for the challenge... I wish everybody a good night! Yawn....

Color Q combined with Colours and Sketches

Here are the two challenges - one  sketch , one color challenge                   By pure change on one of my latest Michaels visits I bought this Washi tape and they had cork Stickers - both were on sale, of course.... I mounted the Washi tape on cardstock and cut out the bottom triangle to make it into a banner. The birthday die cut is from Papertrey and the little happy stamp is from Stampendous. I will also submit this to the Die-cut Divas April challenge - Washi or Birthday challenge. I am not sure which background I like better, so I kept both photos. What do you think? Fro now I am going back into my garden - there is weeding to be done......
