CAS Class 4 - "Homework"

I have enrolled in the newest CAS class, but so far have not had time to do ANYTHING.......how awful is that? Finally today I made some time....This is from day 2 where Shari Carroll plays with fun foam.  So did I: And I'm loving the result! Used my Marianne die and stamped with it. Added Washi tape and embellies. So cool, that fun foam! I will use it more often from now on! I will be adding this card to  Just us Girls Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything goes Inkspirational - Rose color The Card Concept - CAS card And here is my second card - a Trifold card - Julie Ebersole's contribution - so much fun! Its a little tough showing the card with photos, but scroll down and you'll get the gist of it. So you open page 1:  And now its all open: Used my favorite TAWS set for it -  - Bird Brain I used the colors from Colour me....! - see picture below I am also linking this card with T...

TAWS - BIC#53

Its rainbow colors over at TAWS  - they always work! Love their inspiration photo, although it took me a while to come up with something. The bird brain set came to the rescue - that little bird is just so cute. As you see I stamped it repeatedly and colored it in the same order as the inspiration photo.  Added glossy accents to the beaks and some Paper Candi, to give it some shine, just as in the inspiration picture. The sentiment is from the Bitty Borders set by TAWS, of course.  I am also linking this card with the Snippets Playground  - use a snippet (white paper strip) Darnells NBUS challenge (Bitty borders set) - if you don't know Darnell you have to hop over to her wonderful playhouse - she is celebrating her 500 blog follower - go and join her - I can't wait for her 600 follower celebration ;) She has an amazing blog - instructive, funny, just full of goodies! Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Christmas Card without Christmas Stamps

Now that's a Fun Challenge hosted by the Crafty Laydee  - to make a Christmas Card without Christmas Stamps!  I went with a tree - so many stamps can be assembled into a tree, so this was really easy. I inked up Papertrey's Tiny Triangles with my Kaleidocolor ink pad. The star I made from a feather in the TAWS - Bird Brain set and the sentiment is an ancient Paper Source stamp - I also inked it up with two colors. Some Stickles to add some glitz... I am also submitting this card to the  CHNC challenge , the CHNC stamp, stamp stamp challenge  and the September Rudolph Day link

TAWS#37

The clock is ticking for the TAWS challenge  - but there are 2 more days left to play. For once I am not scrambling at the last minute..... Here is the card I made: I tried to mimic the clock frame with an EK sucess punch. All stamps are TAWS - Bird Brain and  Jibber Jabber. I gold embossed the birds and colored the beaks with a metallic pen. I also used a touch of Stickles, although it does not show in the picture.....And, of course the googly eyes- they make those birds even more unique! I love the Bird Brain set - it makes me smile every time I use it! And just for the fun of it I am going to enter this into the Moxie Fab challenge  - All that Glitters is Gold!

TAWS BE Inspired Challenge #34

I just love the Alley Way stamps - they are so fun and cute in a very refreshing, modern way. I also really liked this month inspiration picture (see below) and that is what I did with it: I had some left over paper strips from My Mind's eye that fit the cup. The stamps are from the TAWS - Bird Brain and Jibber Jabber set. I colored the stamps with distress inks. Here is the link for the challenge . --X-- Ready for more Canada pictures? If not then don't scroll down...... We went from Calgary to Banff National Park and today's pictures are all form there. The lake is Lake Luise and the other pictures are taken along the Icefields parkway .

TAWS #33 combined with KIS #19

I will be leaving for Canada this afternoon, but I thought I'll play once more, before my break..... so I needed something CAS, and what better to play in than those two challenges?  The Alley Way stamps Keep it Simple Make it three - it also fits the   Moxie Fab Birthday card challenge . Materials: TAWS - Bird Brain, TAWS - Jibber Jabber for the sentiment, some twine, patterned paper and Copics                                  --X-- I also wanted to share a card with you: Oh my, what a masterpiece! Back from Vacation, new members and a card!

I am back from my vacation in Germany! I had a great time there - as always. I go there once a year to visit friends and family, do some sightseeing and enjoy the outdoors. This year I visited the newly opened Egyptian Museum in Munich, which just had opened in June. The sculpture in front of the building is by Henk Visch , a Dutch artist. I choose this picture as my welcome picture for all my new members, which joined my blog during my absence! Welcome Leon Morton Nopei Ineke Breti Sara Mac I always get quite excited, when somebody new joins. Wow - I have 85 members right now. I would have never dreamed of that back in October, when I started this blog. You all make this really worthwhile! Thank you for joining and thank you for staying with me! I also met one of my new blogging friends- Monika - originally from Indonesia, but now she lives in Munich. I brought some stamps over for her - they are much cheaper in the US, than in Germany. How lucky we are.....
