Katzelkraft - Dreams of Flying

Hi Everyone, it's Katzelkraft Wednesday! This is an interactive card - I though it would be fun if you could twirl around the propeller. I have a little movie below, to show you. I used the set Les Pabos Aviateur . I stamped the little pilot and colored it with Inktense and Finetec Mica colors. I made the sky with a MFT stencil. I die cut the frame with a CUTplorations nesting die  and mounted it with foam tape. I added a second propeller with a brad. Here is my little movie - I hope it works..... Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration! So Suzy & Crackerbox Stamps - Celebrating Frog

Hi Everyone,  today I have a card for you, using my So Suzy & Crackerbox Stamps. The sentiment is perfect for the current Time Out challenge - I think they got their theme from them..... I couldn't resist to play along. I used one of my favorite frogs (the celebrating frog ) - he normally wears a party hat, but I masked it away. Challenged myself at no line coloring - still no better at it. LOL, I guess doing it once a year is not enough practice.... I used a combination of Inktense pencils and Stabilo markers. In the end I added white gel pen accents. Also added a thin strip of Washi tape for more interest. If you are wondering who inspired me - it was Ksenija from Sweet Kobylkin with THIS card. Please don't compare our coloring - she is a master and I am a bloody beginner...... Happy no line water coloring! Christmas Kickstart Challenge #2 - Bundle Up!

Hi Everyone, after Muse Christmas Visions ended, I was on the look-out for a new Christmas challenge I can paly along throughout the year, to lessen the stress in November and December. I think I found one! It is the  Christmas Kickstart Challenge  The current theme is "Bundle up" I took an ancient Hero Arts set and made the background with an iStencil. I love this one, one of my favorites! It is called Winter Striped Tree .  I first sponged pencil dust, but it looked a bit anemic, so I shifted the stencil and sponged in green. Colored the deer with Inktense. Added Stickles. The stitching is a CUTplorations die. The sentiment is lazily made with Washi tape......a Christmas gift from my blogging friend Gundi from Papierelle Linking up with: Jingle Belles - look what Santa brought me (Washi tape) ABC Christmas challenge - anything goes Craft Rocket Challenge - Winter

Katzelkraft - Windy Day

Hi Everyone, it's Katzelkraft Wednesday!  We had a winter storm here in New Jersey and I took that as my inspiration for this week post.  I used the  Windy Day  stamp. It felt just perfect for this occasion.  I stamped it onto photo paper and masked it with a Post-it note. I sprinkled grey Brusho pigments on it and spritzed generously with water. The pigment seeps right into the paper. It also seeped a bit under my masking, but it came out cool. I took a Stabilo marker and added some color touches to the hair, legs, coat and umbrella. The sentiment is a CUTplorations die cut . I am quite pleased with how this came out. I have to use photo paper more often with Brushos! Less is More - Pee on Earth

Hi Everyone, sketch challenges are really not my thing, but the current Less is More challenge has an intriguing one, so I decided to play along.  And that is my take on it. I made myself a "stencil" and sponged rainbow triangles at the bottom. Added the little spaceship and the peeing dog. I was somewhat at a loss for a sentiment and then I noticed I could modify the one that came with the stamp set for the space ship (Doodle Factory -not sure if they still exist.....). The little peeing dog is by Cats on Appletrees. He might just be my favorite of all the stamps I have from them. My blogging friend Gundi from Papierelle sent a Nutella care package for my son and before he could devour it all and throw the wrappers in the garbage pail I rescued one of them and thought it needed to be on a card.... Thank you Gundi!!! I could not find a better pairing than those Katzelkraft rats.....They LOVE Nutella, LOL! I used the  Les Rats des Villes  set for this card. STAMPlorations Special Release - DAY 2

Hi Everyone,  STAMPlorations is having a special release , see the four new stamp sets below in the graphic: You can see yesterdays fabulous creation by Shirley and Monika HERE Today's set is the wonky houses designed by Shirley Bampton.  I absolutely love this set. The houses are adorable and quite versatile.  I did some ombre coloring here - easiest done with a Misti. Kind of doing a partial inking of the stamp and then repeating it in a lighter color, or simply inking up the bottom more than the top.  My second card I did simply stamping on patterned paper. I used a white gel pen to draw over the colors in the windows, to make the outlines more white. Go and check out Shirley's cards at the  STAMPlorations Blog .  Leave comments along the way for your chance to win one of four $15 coupon codes which will be randomly drawn from all the comments left during the release on the  STAMPlorations Blog  a...
