Happy Birthday Becca!

Hi Everyone, I made that card for Becca - The Damsel of Distressed - I am sure you know her blog - if not you may want to visit her - I promise you won't be disappointed! Becca is fun, full of energy and has her won fabulous style! Now she is celebrating her birthday and she has a mood board - if you want to join in . She also raffles of 7 prizes, woot, woot! I guess its easy to see what inspired me on her mood board! Used that bird from Unity stamps, a stencil frorm Prima and the rest (glasses and sentiment) is by Paper Smooches. I double die cut the glasses and mounted them with a tiny piece of foam tape to give them more dimension. Added reflections to the eyes and colored that little heart in red. Merry Christmas

Hi my friends, I want to wish you a Merry Christmas, peace and happiness. I want to thank this wonderful community of the support and love throughout the year - it has been wonderful! I want to share this card with you (and a few challenges, of course) made with my new Hero Arts stamp - white embossed onto a Brusho watercolor background. The colorful sequins remind me about the Christmas tree we had every year at my parents house and we actually have a similar tree - chock full with colorful ornaments. This year however we are in Ithaca, celebrating Christmas away from home.  I will be taking a short blogging break, but don't worry, I have a New Years card scheduled ;) I am linking up with: Time out Challenge - Christmas   is Love with all the Trimmings CAS on Sunday - Christmas Around the World Challenge - see inspiration photo Inkspire me  - My Christmas Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes        ...

Shades of Grey at CASual Fridays

It shades of  grey at CASual Fridays . I like grey.  I die cut the rectangles with Dienamics dies and sponged the inside twice in the center, the larger rectangle only once to create different shades of grey. I went around the borders with a white pen, to give it more definition. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations - the new MOM subway art builders set . I heat embossed it. Right now you can get all MOM sets in the prerelease sale for 30% off! Well, that is something to consider, with Mothers Day coming up soon! The flowers are from the Stamplorations set  Eclectic Florals . I colored the inside with chalks and markers and then fuzzy cut them and added little pearls in the center Other challenges: Simon Says Wednesday Challenge  - Anything goes with pearls CAS on Sunday - Color me pretty Pan Pastels - Frame it! Snippets Playground - use a snippet (flowers made from snippets)

Happy 2014!

I wish you all a HAPPY, HEALTHY and CRAFTY NEW YEAR! I just wanted to share a actually not so quick card with you. I used a brand new Darice embossing folder for the firework and took my quickie glue pen and drew along the lines. The glue dries up kind of fast, so you have to do this in sections.  I sprinkled glitter on it. the numbers are cut with the PTI numbers border die, using glitter card stock. It actually looks fantastic in real life - just like a real firework - here is looks kind of cheesy.... I am sharing it anyhow. Both my husband and son really liked it - usually I just can get an "oh , its nice" out of them.... I am linking this card with  CAS-ual Fridays CASology - Party CAS on Sunday  - Happy New Year Red Carpet Studios - New Year's Eve Just us Girls  - its a photo inspiration - New Year themed, see below

Wreath Christmas card

I recently go that beautiful wreath from My favorite Things and its just perfect for the Festive Friday challenge , where is wreath is wanted.... I used two different tones of shimmer paper, some Stickles and a pearl on the bow. The sentiment is from  Mama Elephant - Merry Greetings - isn't it beautiful? And guess what - I used some snippet - the bow is from a paint swatch. You know what that means - the card is going into the Snippets Playground .... I will also link it up with Rudolph's Day  and Inkspirational - the challenge is wreath and CAS on Sunday  and lastly with Simon Says Monday challenge - Anything goes

Less is More #125 and a second card for Maddy

Its Jen Nelson's Birthday over at Less is More . And she tells us she likes fish, cats and butterflies! Since I just made some fish cards its now turn for a cat card. After all I just got this sassy cat stamp from Technique Tuesday - I had to use it! The sentiment is taken from the same Technique Tuesday set and from Paper Smooches. The yellow and grey stripes I made with the Papertrey Watercolor Wonder set.  Well Jen, Happy Birthday to you and I hope you like my card! I am also linkin this card with the  CAS on Sunday  - One layer wonder challenge. --X-- You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this card drive is going on to help her lift her spirits. I made this card in the flickr Hero Arts scramble last weekend and promised to...
