Looks like I might make it through all 7 days at Mel's 7 Days 7 Sketches...... This is my card for day 5 : Cut the big circle with a Lifestyle Crafts die and used a square die to cut the square. Watercolored them and taped them in. Stamped the butterflies from Stamplorations - Artful Flutters, added white accents and stamped the sentiment (ancient Memory Box set- In the Garden - CL106) around the circle Here is another view: Linking up with: Handmade Bliss - see colors below Addicted to CAS - butterfly Memory Box - butterflies Now onto day 6 : I die cut myself some stamps from fun foam, using those Lifestyle Crafts nesting dies. The smaller circles are by Hero Arts - Box of Dots (LL890). The die cut love is by Papertrey - Wet Paint. Hi Everyone, I have two cards for you today. For the first one I pulled out my cute YNS stamps  and I am playing in their latest color challenge - you have to pick at least 3 colors. I settled for green, yellow and a tiny blue ink splot. Made a puddle of water on water color paper and then filled it in with water colors. Waited for it to dry and then stamped that sassy snake on it. Added some definition with a white Sharpie and some splatters, as well as the sentiment.  This is a one layer card - I love to make those. Hi Everyone, its challenge time at  House of Cards ! This month theme is going to be  add a butterfly and/or color challenge. I added two butterflies here - from STAMPlorations - Artful Flutters . Colored them with alcohol inks. The background I made with a stencil by iStencil  - just put it down straight and sponged it with distress inks. The sentiment is by Papertrey. Hi Everyone -  I am so happy and proud to be guest designer for the Craft Stamper magazine January Take it Make it challenge ! I got that honor with winning the November challenge with THIS card, where I also won this fabulous stamp set from  Artistic Stamper  (see picture below), which I used to create my two inspiration cards. This months theme is Anything Goes with stamps (no digis)- don't we all LOVE this?  In both cards I stamped the background with the wavy stamp from this stamp set in various colors. I then used those wonderful Raindrop stamps from Ryn Tanaka and stamped them over the wavy lines. I used a light color wash to color the water drops and added white highlights to make them more 3-D.  The sentiment stamps are by STAMPlorations - for the pink card I used  Bloom Sketches  and for the green card I used  Artful Flutters I am linking my card with Ryn's customer creation challenge - anything with Ryn stamps ...

Hi, here is my second blog post for today - please scroll down for the House of Cards challenge post! So its time again for the new sketch challenge at  STAMPlorations ! The background strip I made with a Tim Holtz stencil - its called dot fade  and you can also buy this in the STAMPlorations shop.  The butterflies are from the Vignette: Artful Flutters . I colored watercolor paper with distress inks and then stamped the butterflies onto it. Added a little Wink of Stella. The antennae I made with a thin wire and added Stickles to the ends. The  sentiment  is from the  SENTIMENT BUILDERS: Happy . Hi Everybody, its time again for a new challenge at Dream Valley!  For the next two weeks the theme is MONOCHROMATIC!  I used the bleach blocking technique to make my background using distress inks. I die cut the flower sprig out of the inked up card stock and colored it with Copcs in the same color range. I then cut a second one in white, which I inlaid into the card. The sentiment is by STAMPlorations -Sentiment Builder HAPPY. I also used their wonderful set Artful Flutters, and added a little bit of glimmer to the wings, but it does not show in the picture..... Time to celebrate again - it's Vicki Dutcher's birthday - hurrah! I wish you a very Happy Birthday and many more to come! Vicki is an amazing paper crafter. I am sure you all know her and her wonderful blog All I do is stamp . Go on over and wish her a Happy birthday. Since Vicki is the queen of making beautiful bows and I can't do them I used some seam binding here in her honor. I got my mail today and boy there were a lot of surprises in there - about some I'll tell you later, since I don't have a lot of time right now, but I also got some more stamping supplies - yeahhh - as if I would need more ...... I had to try some of them right away - using my new STAMPlorations set  SUBWAY ART BUILDERS: Create (this is a sneak preview of part of the set - the set will be released in Ma y)  and the  VIGNETTE: Artful Flutters The circle lines I created with a brand new stencil from Memory Box - Radio Waves - I sponged that - it was a bit tricky, because the stencil is so delicate.... The butterflies I made with a scrap piece of acetate - a leftover form some packaging, which I colored with alcohol inks and stamped the butterflies with Staz On ink. All the ink is on the backside of the butterflies to protect the colors. I added some Stickles to the bodies of the butterflies - love the sparkle... the curvy line is from Papertrey Happ...

We have a cool sketch for you for the next two weeks over at  STAMPlorations !  Very different from other sketches. Doesn't it look like fun? I used that cool  Distressed Damask Background , sponged it in three different colors, heat embossed the sentiment from the set  Artful Flutters  and lastly added some of those funky splatter thingies from  Holiday Artsy . Lastly I added some black splatters.
