So Suzy - Butterfly Music

Hi Everyone,  I am lucky to introduce the Butterfly Music stamp to you - I am sure it sells out in no time...... It is just gorgeous!  And it goes perfectly together with that  wonderful sentiment ! I masked a strip in the upper part of my card with post it notes and sponged with distress inks in yellow, orange and red. Sorry for the blurry picture.... You see the sponging does not need to be perfect - it evens out a bit over time and it also does not show, once you stamp on it.  See, even on the magnified image you can't really see the patchy colors: I stamped onto my colorful strip and that was that. I purposefully mad my strip smaller thatn the combined stamps, to have the butterfly peek out a bit. It may take you 10 minutes to make this at most. Unique Eggplants!

Hi Everyone, sharing a quick card I made for the One Layer simplicity challenge this month. The theme is fruit smoothie. That stumped me at first - not a lot of fruit stamps...but then I remembered my ancient wooden eggplant stamp from A Stamp in the Hand - sadly that company does not exist anymore.... Now if you are wondering what an eggplant has to do with a fruit - it IS one! I am quoting Wikipedia here: "Eggplant  ( Solanum melongena ) or  aubergine  is a  species  of  nightshade  grown for its edible fruit." Now I do have an apple stamp from that company and a pear, but I was fixated on eggplant.... So I took my markers and colored the eggplants - they look kind of blue here, but that has to do with my camera being unable to handle the color purple.... And then I needed a sentiment....my usual haphazard way of creating a card - starting and then what??? Finding a suitable sentiment was NOT easy, after all, those are egg...

Make some Noise

Hi Everyone, just a quick post -  I wanted to get my card in for the current Time Out challenge - again linky is about to expire.... This was my second try - the first one I did not like, but learned how to improve it. I took the MFT equalizer stencil and inked it up and then smeared clear embossing paste on it. Let it dry, added the sentiment - is by CASual Friday, the set is called Woot, Woot. Used my Hero Arts Neon inks for that - you can get them at A2z scrapbooking  at 15% off, if you use my code Cornelia15 Love how this turned out! This is the inspiration picture - just up my alley - I knew immediately I had to play, but it was difficult to find time to do it... I think I got it. The clear embossing paste adds the shine you see in the picture. Also linking up with:   OLS - Sparkle and shine  - hope the embossing past does not count as second layer - not sure... no sparkle on this card, but lots of shine - you can see it ...

"Scary" One Layer Card

Hi Everyone, I had some serious fun making this card: Inked up glossy card stock with distress inks, Blowed some ink around and added those cute little monsters from  Flonz and this funny sentiment by Lil Inkers - Fineprint. You really gotta read this carefully :) Also added some splatters as you can see. Reminds me about Halloween - my favorite holiday! May be not CAS enough for some of those challenges I am linking up with, but I am linking up with them anyhow....   Lil Inkers monthly meetup challenge One Layer Simplicity challenge - blowing in the wind Less is More - one layer splatter The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers  - just kidding Simon Says Wednesday challenge - Make your own background Happy stamping to all of you and thanks for all your many absolutely wonderful comments - they always make my day!
