"Hatty" Christmas

Hi Everyone, I am playing with the Christmas Kickstart challenge - the theme is "Hatty" Christmas. I got two cards out of my attempt - here is actually the second one - liked it better than the first one. I used an kitty background stamp from IndigoBlu and out a Katzelkraft cat into the window with a Katzelkraft Santa hat. The merry window die is by Poppy Stamps. The Katzelkraft cat is available from   Topflight Stamps . Use code  FUNSTAMPING   to get 12% discount. Pond Friends Swimming By

Hi Everone,  as soon as I saw the CAS Mix-up challenge for this month I knew I needed to play along...The theme is color your stamps. I have a few Local King Rubber Stamp sets at home and those are specifically designed to do just that. I used the Pond Friends  set for this card. The background I made with an ancient Poppy Stamps stamp and lightly colored it with a water color wash. Added the frame and the sentiment (Your Next Stamp) and splatters. Birthday Hollyhocks

Hi Everyone,, it has been a while that I made a non DT related card...... This one went to my sister. She deserves a special card, not one out of my stash.... I bought those Impression Obsession Hollyhock dies last year and did not yet use them. Neither did I use this pretty Poppy Stamp stencil, which is even older. I used black gesso for the background, although it is kind of runny and seeped under the stencil. It still looked pretty, so I used it. Added my favorite So Suzy birthday stamp and a strip of patterned paper. i also used a bit of Stickles to glitter up the center of those Hollyhocks. The Challenge

Hi Everyone, seriously did you think I could bypass that stunning inspiration photo from The Challenge ??? No way!!! Just took me a while to think how to convert the image into a card. Today I figured it out. Took that fun die cut from Poppy Stamps, did some sponging and inlaid die cutting. I could not settle on a sentiment, so I left it blank, for future use. Here is the photo: You did not think, that I would throw out the negative die cuts and those little pieces, did you? No, of course I made a second card with it: Here I added a little THANKS in the corner, its from CASual Fridays. For Your Inspiration #46

You gotta love this inspiration picture from the For Your Inspiration challenge!  I love Aspen. Last May I was lucky to be in New Mexico where they have some really large aspen forests. Such beautiful trees! So here is my take on the challenge. I saw different colors converging in the center. I don't have any aspen trees as stamps, but the bamboo stamp from Poppy stamps did the job... I sponged the background. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. --X-- And here are two of my Aspen pictures: Aren't those trees gorgeous?
