Merry Monday #69 and Moxie Fab

Hello Everybody, I have another Christmas card I made for the Merry Monday challenge #69 - the sketch is below. This card would have been a lot easier, if I would have done it in the right order... I started out with the green paper, die cutting the openings with the Papertrey Take Tree die. Then I realized that I needed the red strips on the side and I wanted the paper doubled up, to give it more substance, so I fiddled around with the red paper, trying to die cut at the same level as the green paper, which I kind of managed to do.... the sentiment is from Hero Arts Happiest Holidays. And the felt ornaments I had in my stash - bought years ago in Germany... I am also linking this up with the Moxie Fab Holiday challenge . --X--  And now some Calgary pictures - some contrast to Christmas - street art: Cool, hu - I love it! I have more to share about Calgary in my next post!

More Holiday cards and another school project

Its never ending - the Holiday card production. .... I finally sent out all the cards that go overseas and started to send cards within the US. Only a couple of days left...Here are some other "works" of mine. the first batch I made with the Sizzix Alterations Snowflake embossing folder and  a Hero Arts sentiment (Merriest Wishes) The second set is just another take on a card I made earlier , just played around with different colors.  The tree stamp is from Outlines stamps, the sentiment is Hero Arts. Embellished with Stickles and Perfect Pearls, the  star punch is from Michaels Here is another one of my sons school project he choose to do a timeline about JJR Tolkien - he is a big fan and we just saw "The Hobbit". It was fun making it. Especially those little books we made - used the Lord of the Rings for the inside pages - we had an old volume, that was falling apart.

Arrow Tree

I made so many Christmas cards this year, but I still need more. so I decided to take part in the Paperminutes challenge called "Arrows" and make some more cards. I also linked it to this Stampotique challenge . This is my final version. I masked the tree with post it notes and used my Stamp-a-magic for positioning. The sentiment is Hero Arts, The arrow is from "My mind's eye", the punch is McGill Starburst and I could not resist Stickles..... The arrow is from "My mind's eye", the punch is McGill Starburst and I could not resist Stickles..... This is my son's social studies school project. The theme is "create an advertisement from a product that was invented between 1860 and 1900". He choose the Kodak Brownie camera.

Color Throwdown 2

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE! We had a great dinner last night at friends of ours with loads of delicious food and lots of fun! I decides to skip breakfast today, because I am still not hungry and then we have some more celebrating to do at my in-laws. My daughter came home last night - she will join us today, yeah! I LOVE  those  colors at the  Color Throwdown challenge , and here is my second take on it: The tree stamp is from Outlines stamps - sadly went out of business, the sentiment is Hero Arts. Embellished with Stickles and Perfect Pearls, the punched out star is from Michaels
