Guest Designing at Craft Stamper

Hi Everyone, I am so delighted to be Guest Designer for the July TIMI challenge over at Craft Stamper for week two of the month long challenge. The theme is easy - take a stamp! But is has to be the real thing, not a digi. Took me a while to figure out what to do..... I finally settled on that fun hippo from Katzelkraft. I thought it pairs up perfectly with the sentiment from Rubber Necker. The background I did with an ARTplorations stencil  (STAMPlorations) and the wonky stitched border is the brand new Cutplorations die also from STAMPlorations. Just imagine what else you could do with that fun stamp! Happy Stamping and don't forget to link up at the TIMI challenge ! Crazy Bird Canvas from the Depth of my Draft Folder.....

Hi Everyone,   Thought I pull something else out of my draft folder.....   I showed two of my four little canvasses previously. You can see them HERE and HERE . And now number three:   First I gessoed, then I stamped the bird, masked it and spritzed with Dylusion spray. Colored the bird with Copics, stamped the  bubbles  and treated them with some white highlights. Lastly I added water drops to give the background more interest.   This actually was my personal favorite. I still have one in store......   I am linking up with Ryn Tanaka's November customer gallery Craft Stamper TIMI challenge - take a stamp, anything goes

Non Christmas card with Christmas stamps

Hi Everyone, here is a challenge just to my liking - and I have thought about this in the past, wishing somebody would offer that as a challenge - make a non Christmas card with Christmas stamps - and here it is - put on by Make the  Day Special Stamp Store ! Hurrah! I used this ancient Hero Arts set - love that one and picked that skinny bare Christmas tree. Stamped a half circle at the top of my card with Versamark and heat embossed it in white. I then masked the wedges and sponged them with distress inks in rainbow colors.  The sentiment is from the set  OWH Year Round sentiments . Also  heat embossed it in white. I die cut the card stock using the stitched square die by Simon Says Stamps, glued it onto fun foam and mounted it onto a white card base. Added the silver embroidery thread and tiny sequins.  So how do you like that challenge theme? You can also play in this month A2z Scarpbooking Store Challenge - its CAS as a the...

Stamp Connection #3

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our second transatlantic get-together! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements (and I really wanted to  play  with those crazy birds....) Bird(s) and Father's Day card And here is my card: First I used this die by SSS and cut the paper, but left it in place. Then took one of those  crazy Tim Holtz  birds and stamped it on water color paper. Colored it. Masked off the bird and the ABSOLUTELY and splattered in 3 colors. Added Washi tape and the sentiment stamp. Now aren't you curious what Tanja did - I for sure are -  lets go and visit her ! Hi Everyone, welcome to the first day of our   STAMPlorations blog hop! we have 5 new stamp sets to entice you with:   Our first day features fun new sentiments called  FOND EXPRESSIONS , which are really universally useful. iStencil

Hi Everyone,  I have some exciting news!!!! I now work with iStencils to design cards for them! I was over the moon, when they asked me to do that!!!  I absolutely love stencils and their stencils particularly appeal to me. I have that soft spot for graphic design and there is an abundance of graphic stencils at their site.  You may have seen my last card I made with an iStencil, if not you can see it HERE . This is a different one that I got on my shopping spree with them...... I finally got over my embossing paste fear and mixed myself some color. I did not completely mix the colors together, I liked the different shades I got. I used that gorgeous iStencil and overlaid it with a heart mask, that I cut out of a large post it note. Smeared the paste over it and let it dry. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/27-00002-r-sc Splattered some metallic blue spray ink. Let it dry..... I then added the LOVE die cut, heat embossed the Y...
