Woodblock Wednesday - Wrap Around Card

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with  Woodblock Wednesday  from Amy Tsuruta. It's such a good excuse to play with my favorite, neglected wood stamps! For this card I used my treasured Cats on Appletrees stamps and the bean stamp is from 100 Proof Press. I cheated with the sentiment (Funky Fossil Designs). Did not have a wood block stamp for this. But since the majority are woodblock stamps, I think I can get away with it..... Used my Misti to get all the beans at the same height, except the first one, which is ripped out by that beasty boar, LOL! Sponged the ground. Here is a better picture of the back and below you see a picture of the front of my card. As so often it is a simple one layer card. Waiting for the Last Minute

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with the Instagram Artpoetry challenge. this week is about shopfronts. I choose THIS by Rob Bentley. I liked the surrealistic feel of it and I thought I just have the right kind of stamps to get the feel across.  the background stamp and birds are by Lost Coast Designs , the claw is from 100 Proof Press and the sentiment is Dyan Reaveley (Dylusions). I heat embossed the background. The rest I stamped and fuzzy cut. I smudged the card edges with Versamark and did some more heat embossing. Also sponged a bit on the upper and side part of the card in white, gives it more depth, but does not really come out in the picture. I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting.  Happy Stamping! Muse Christmas Visions #101

Hi Everyone, we have a wonderful guest designer over at  MCV .  I am sure you all know her - at least the frequent players at Muse Christmas Visions. It is Pam   and she is one of our frequent players. A big hurrah for that! Her cards - pure eye candy! Her is her card . You see, I was right - eye candy! And sweet on top of it! I tried to come up with a similar background, but failed miserably.... so I took one of my brand new stencils (Carabelle Studio) and colored in some embossing paste. The dove is from 100 Proof Press and the die is by Papertrey. So come and  play along ! You still have a little bit of time, the linky list closes at 7:59 AM EST on Monday, June 11. See you at MCV! Sprout

Hi Everyone, sorry for the second post today, but I really wanted to play in this week's CASology challenge and the time is almost up.... the cue word is SPROUT. I had the perfect stamp for this (for years, literally...) and  its NBUS. So you know why I needed to play....Believe it or not, but it took me 3 tries before I was happy with it. CAS is not always easy to achieve....I think you have all been there..... The delightful bean sprout stamp is by 100 Proof Press and the sentiment is by Rubber Necker. I sponged the background, stamped the sprout and colored it with a Faber Castell Marker. Added the black splatters for extra interest and some white gel pen accents. Two Peace cards

So cute, this inspiration picture from Festive Friday ! I knew exactly what to make for it - something that happens rarely when I start out making a card...But in the end I liked the byproduct more than what I envisioned at first - also not unusual....So first the byproduct, which I like better:  I had s snippet of patterned paper left over from a previous card and I used it to die cut the letters. I used the negative die cut for this card. The holly is a punch from Martha Stewart and I used little red gems for sparkle. I also cut the card stock a ta on the side and put a green panel behind it for balance. This card I will also submit to the Pixie Crafty Snippets Playground challenge . The lovely Di offers it and its a fun challenge with the only rule to use a snippet (left over scraps in American English) - I like snippet better - sounds really cute! I am also linking those cards with: X-mas on Tuesday I am not sure about the rules - maybe non...

Inkspirational #23 combined with Addicted to CAS #14

Oh, those summery, fresh colors!! Who could resist those? Not me.... of course........ The circle stamp is from 100 Proof Press, the sentiment is Papertrey Think Big Favorites #24. I masked the circles and put a clear plastic bubble sticker in the center to add some dimension.  I mounted the card on an orange card from Memory Box.  This was very simple to do, but I like it. CAS - my favorite anyhow... This card goes into  Inkspirational Challenge #23  Addicted to CAS #14 - circles

Play Date Cafe combined with Make it Mondays and CAS-ual Fridays

Look at those colors - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those!  Oh, this is just totally up my alley! So this is what I did: I needed a birthday card. I love those colors - did I mention that before? And at Make it Monday the theme is embossed alphabet - I used a number - I guess you can always stretch those challenges a bit.... And how convenient is that - CAS-ual Fridays theme is Birthday Bash. I usually do not combine three challenges, but what the heck, why not... but those  Play Date cafe  colors may go into an second project..... I die cut the number and clear embossed it with a 100 Proof Press stamp - you can see this better in the close-up photo. I am also submitting this card to the Divas that Die Cut Paper challenge  - the theme is Washi or Birthday card. Obviously its birthday only, no Washi, but I used embossing and a die cut! and the last challenge I am participating in with thi...
