Festive Friday#17

So cute, this felt acorn from Festive Friday - it immediately appealed to me and I wanted to play....

But it wasn't as easy as I thought. I wanted to use felt, to get that cozy warm feeling from the inspiration picture, but I did not like any one of my two felt cards I made. So I went with what comes easier to me - stamping.....I like this card.

The windows are cut with the Papertrey Take Tree die, the stamps are Hero Arts Four Framed Snowflakes, the sentiment is by Magenta. I also cut a thin strip of metal foil and added some Stickles.

--X--

I will show you my other attempts....maybe I shouldn't.....

The stamps and die cuts are Prickley Pear, the sentiment is Hero Arts - Decorate your Holidays. Somehow there is something missing on this card - any suggestions?

The second card looks better here than in real life. The stamps and die cut are from the Hero Arts/Sizzix Merry Christmas Tree set. For both cards I used the Papertrey woodgrain embossing plate as backgound.

I am also submitting those cards to the CNHC challenge - Anything Christmas

I like all your cards, and the felt tree one especially. The contrasts of the felt against the cardstock and the shiny charms on the felt provide a lot of interest. For the ornament card, I think a dark border around the edge to separate the two layers would add depth and contrast. (I guess I like contrast!) Thanks for visiting my blog!

I love that 1st stamped card, with the inchy squares, and great touch to add the silver trim strip. Really set off your squares. I liked your felt cards too. Not sure why you didn't, but perhaps if you add trim to the one ornament? Actually looked fine to me as is...but maybe you'd like it better with added bling? Your tree card looked pretty as well. TFS & don't be too hard on yourself!
I love them all, but definitely the first is my favourite, because I love snowflakes! Thank you so much for sharing all three with us at Festive Friday!

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car
