Sour Cream containers

This is such a pretty color combination at Pals Paper Arts and as luck will have it at Crazy for CAS  and with Valentine's day coming closer I thought I'll make some Valentines ......

PPA190 Feb 6

I just discovered how to make Sour Cream containers (you can watch THIS youtube video on how to) and thought they are just too cute. Had to try this.

But if you want a quick tutorial how to make those I took some pictures for you:

You start out with a 4 x 6" piece of paper - should not be too thick and add adhesive on one short and one long side - of course you can make this as big as you want...

Form a roll and stick the short sides together

Press down on the adhesive - you can use your paper crimper for additional stability

It looks pretty, too, but is not necessary.

Then you fill it with goodies and crimp the open end, perpendicular to the other end. The crimping will actually hold the paper together without any adhesive. Punch in a tiny hole and stick a brad through and you are done.

Any additional adornments are up to you!
I used a little heart shaped brad, some tags stamped with $ stamps from Michaels and some left over hearts I had saved from THIS card threaded on a silver thread.

I am also submitting this for the Time-out challenge - Love and/or Friendship

Diese Päckchen sehen so ähnlich aus wie die Glückskekse, die man in China-Restaurants bekommt.
Sooo einfach und doch soooo wirkungsvoll.

Danke für den Tipp.LG

Katzelkraft - Stampotique Raven

Hi Everyone, Do you know that   Katzelkraft has aquired Stampotique stamps? This fun raven is designed by Daniel Torrente (#6314). I used an old background from my stashs.  I stamped the bird and colored it with alcohol ink markers.  I brushed distrss ink onto the background and added some pattern with the   Mandala Magic stencil  from Funky Fossil Designs.I used one of the border stamps on the left for more interest.  Stamped the sentiment  and doodled a frame around the sentiment.Added a googly eye to the bird and drew in some eye lashes.  The stamps I used are from the following sets: Spiral Borders - KTZ286,  Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276  (FRANCE) Spiral Borders  - KTZ286 , Whatchamacallit  - KTZ276 (USA) Hope you liked this - I'll be back next Wednesday with more Katzelkraft inspiration.  Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Simon Says Wednesday challenge  - fur or feathers
