Skipping Stones Design August Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

its blog hop time at Skipping Stones Designs.
You probably arrived from the very talented Tanja Kabel.

I made this card with the set Best of Birds. I stamped the bird and water colored him and the background. Added some splatters and Washi tape. On the left side I put a strip of wood paper to give it more interest.

This is the set I used:

Your next stop on the hop is Ilina - she has an amazing card waiting for you.
In case you get lost - just go back to Skipping Stones Design and you'll find the complete list there.
You can win a new stamp set of your choice by commenting on each blog along the way. For extra chances subscribe to the Skipping Stones Blog.

Happy hopping!

Well, you certainly have been busy...and to excellent effect. This is such a wonderful image and the sentiment is lovely. Your coloring is, as usual, perfect but the way you've enhanced this card with these disparate element makes it shine.

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car

Dandelion and Christmas Trees

Hi  Everyone, I am getting tired of making Christmas cards.... I needed a break from them. I love the inspiration picture for the current Sunday stamps challenge , so I pulled out my ancient Hero Arts stamp to make this card.  The sentiment is by Unity stamps. Did some masking and sponging. I also performed a little surgery on my stamp, as those falling dandelion seeds are attached to the main stamp. Just a little cut with my Exacto knife and I set them free! I am also linking up with: Mod Squad Challenge  - Anything but Christmas (exactly how I feel....) Happy Little Stampers Dec CAS Challenge   -  Favorite Technique (sponging is my favorite)    But I do have a Christmas card for you, in fact I  made two - they are slightly different - do you see it? My materials are: tree dies - Papertrey, sentiment - Simon Says stamps, some punches, gingham stamp - Stampin' up, PP cut with a die by Paper Smooches, added a little bit of Stickles to the tre
