So Suzy - Dancing Butterflies

Hi Everyone, I am back today with another card I made from the wonderful So Suzy June release : I just thought the butterflies and sentiment go beautifully together and could make a really pretty sympathy card. The stamp is called Blowing Butterflies . And this is the sentiment:  I used black and yellow Brusho powders to create the background. I waited until it was dry before I heat embossed the butterflies and sentiment.  I picked up some of the color with a water brush and painted in some of the butterflies to make them stand out a bit more:  I trimmed off some of the side and used dark blue card stock as border. Added some sequins and rounded the right hand corner. In case you are tempted to order stamps ;)  I have a 10% discount code for you for the month of June (almost over...) - its Cornelia10 it is valid for all stamps and ink bites Linking up with: Addicted to CAS - FLY Happy...

Muse Christmas Vision #50

Hi Everyone, I am playing along with this weeks Muse Christmas Vision , where   Elizabeth Stewart   made  a  very pretty, glittery Christmas card - too pretty to not play along! She did some inlaid die cutting with glitter paper and  the   result  is amazing! I kept it simpler - cut the snowflake ( Papertrey)  and a blue vellum circle ( Simon Says die). Stamped the sentiment and little snowflaky adornments and added blue pearls in the center. They don't show up too well on the photo, but they shimmer nicely in real life - used Brilliance platinum ink for them. This ink also works well on vellum. Here is Elizabeths card: That star under the sentiment is the center of the snowflake - I am sure you saw this. Tempted to play? I am sure you are!  See you at MCV! Celebrate!

Hi Everyone, I have to celebrate with the Paper Players - it's their 300 challenge - what a milestone! Congratulations, Paper Players - quite an accomplishment! And they are still as popular as ever! I am looking forward to the next 300 challenges! Here is my card: I took my brand new Waffle Flower set and stamped the little monkey on watercolor paper and colored her with water colors. Stamped the bananas and masked them and sponged the background. Added the sentiment - Neat&Tangled and enamel dots. The monkey is mounted with foam tape and fuzzy cut. I thought she looks more like a party girl if I give her googly eyes... Almost forgot - added some splatters. Linking up with: The Paper Players Waffle Flower CAS(E) this Sketch Happy Stamping!

STAMPlorations Groovy Shoes Special Release

Hi Everyone, we have a Special Release going on at STAMPloration s  - it's for the Groovy Shoes ! You may already know about the small version, but now you can have your favorite one (or all of them) as a large stamp! How fun is that?!!! My favorite one is the  Groovy Platform Shoes . I combined it here with the small version and added 2 different splatter colors. Then I tool a light wash of the orangy  yellow and the green and colored in the big shoe. Added some white Sharpie accents.  I added a strip of Scotch tape at the bottom. The sentiment is bent to fit the curve of the shoe. My other stamp supplies:    Groovy shoes ,  A Girl and Her Shoes And then I could not resist and made another card - did some scribbling and colored with Copics. Some Washi tape and an enamel dot. Easy peasy.... There is a prize, of course  - 1 commenter wins  of her choice of Large G...

Joy Clair - Seas the Day

Hello Everyone,  today I am sharing two cards using that cute set called Seas the Day from Joy Clair!  For my first card I used a stencil to make the background. Using distress ink and sponging in a lighter color at the top. I colored the mermaids with Copics. their fishtails are paper pieced with paint chips and heat embossed in gold. The rest I just stamped directly on the background, addling glossy accents to the bubbles and Wink of Stella to the jelly fish. For my second card I used the same set - those fish are just the mermaids tails. Their back fins are the crowns. Just drew in the eyes and mouth. Added Bakers Twine and a little strip of patterned paper (envelope liner). Hope you liked this! Don't forget to play with us in the  Joy Clair June challenge   - the theme is Masculine or Fathers Day and we have a beautiful inspiration picture to give you some colors to play with! The challenge...
