Inkspirational #48

I saw this inspiration picture at Inkspirational, put it mentally on my to do list of challenges, promptly forgot about it until.....

recently when I rummaged through my papers I found this gorgeous patterned paper from DCWV and thought it would be perfect for this..... But how to make it into a card?.....I finally checked the linky list for the expiration and guess what - another last minute project.... So quick thinking was required......

I die cut the butterflies from gold foil and gold embossed the sentiment.

I put the sentiment on an additional strip of PP and used foam tape to give it some dimension. The butterflies are also adhered with foam tape. Its not really my style, but I really like it! I like how the sentiment plays into the dream of the picture and the butterflies go along with the gorgeous bird. Even the colors kind of match up.

I am also linking this card up with the CHNC Patterned Paper challenge
and with Shopping our Stash - Cabin fever

But now, I think I'll go back to my usual CAS kind of style......on my next post. See you then!

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

I stamped the Cool Yule sentiment onto aqua card stock and added white gel pen accents. Mounted everything onto a white card base. For my second card I used patterned paper as background. Added the die cuts (Santa and moose from Dixie Crafts, Winter Landscape die from Cut

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it.
