Shopping Our Stash Challenge 280

Hi Everyone,

This is my fifth and last week as Guest Designer over at Shopping Our Stash - in case you don't know its a weekly challenge, where you are supposed to use something in your stash - preferably something neglected ;)

This weeks challenge is Paper Strip Art - Use the Bargello Technique on your card or project.
Now this is something I would normally avoid.... I have this aversion to use patterned paper, although my stash is quite impressive.....not sure why I ever buy any.... So I procrastinated a bit about this and then I finally made my card and here it is:

Again, I avoided patterned paper - oh well, it was not meant to be....
If you want to learn about the Bargello technique click HERE. Just gonna tell you - you need a lot of adhesive and you can not make this in 5 minutes...
The sentiment is by Simon Says

Eager to try this?

The challenge runs until Midnight December 5th - come and play along!

Happy Stamping!

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh that is SO GORGEOUS, i wouldn't have thought you could make something SOOOOO dramatic just with solid colors but boy oh boy you've proven it so well! (ps: i'm definitely using enough patterned paper for both of us, tho, so don't worry about that!

thanks very much for being our lovely guest star at SHOPPING OUR STASH, it was wonderful having you with us all throughout november. everything you made was luscious and totally inspiring! <3 <3 <3

Sehr coole Technik! Das einfarbige Papier verleiht dem ganzen einen moderneren, grafischen Touch! Ganz toll!

I appreciate this card, because I know how very laborious to perform such paper. But the effect is worth the trouble. I love this card :-)

Easter Egg and Bunny

Hi Everyone, I made a bunch of Easter cards, after all its little more than one month and I need to send them out in time... You see, they are all similar - using both the die cut and the negative, that I cut from a die cut egg. The cute bunnies got their yearly appearance - they are from Impression Obsession. the egg is by Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is by Papertrey. And here are bigger photos from this set: Linking up with Creative with Stamps - Easter The Paper Players - die cutting Die Cut Divas - animals Happy Little Stampers - anything goes with dies

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fifteen year old sister Melanie.  She now has a relapse and this car
