Stamp Connection #15

Hi Everyone,

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from Little Art Cottage and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together!

And we also have a guest this month - if you don't know Aileen Ryan from Color and Sparkle, you have really been missing out on some truly awesome card making goodness! I am so happy she agreed to join us this month! Welcome Aileen!

This time it was my turn to pick the requirements and I picked
"alcohol inks"

I used Yupo paper for this card. It is synthetic paper and the way the inks flow on this paper is just amazing! Of course I did some research on you tube.....I used brown, butterscotch and a turquoise green as my colors. First I made them flow and then I did some dropping, splattering and selective dotting.

I absolutely LOVE how this turned out. You can create real depth with this technique. Of course I experimented quite a bit and you will see more cards in the future...

As you can see, I added a stitched frame (STAMPlorations), put the thanks (also STAMPlorations) on a torn strip of vellum and added some enamel dots.
