Holiday Shaker Card and a School Project

What else is new - another last minute project from me .... This time I combined both teh sketch and the inspiration picture from Your Next Stamp to create this shaker card. The sketch really looks like a snowglobe to me and I love shaker cards, so I went to work.... And here is my result:

I used Paper Smooches stamps. The trees are actually green, you see this better below and its holiday confetti from Michaels, as are the little snowflakes. The snowglobe base is in real life more yellow, but looks like orange in the picture... I added wink of Stella to the white parts of the snowman's hat and that you can't see either...

Here you can see the green trees:

As luck will have it, my card fits the The Card Concept challenge perfectly
1.) A TAG or a CARD with a tag on it
2.) Snowmen, snow or any other "wintery" theme!
My card goes into the CAS category, of course.
I like it, its cute!

YNS Color Challenge 2       YNSSketch-2

I am also linking this card with this weeks Simon Says challenge - Anything Goes

--X--

And now I wanted to share a project I made with my son on the weekend. I actually thought I would be done with those school projects by now, after all he is already in 8th grade. But he recently fractured his hand and needed help. The theme was Taiga Diorama and that is what we created:

I am always wondering what those poor parents do that don't have a ton of crafting stuff at home.....

I came out really cool, don't you think so? I for my part love it - It gotta be an A+ - what do you think?

What a fun shaker card Cornelia!
Love the diarama, is 8th grade high school? Last time I drew a pic for my daughter's history project (HenryVIII) she got an A and the history teacher gave me one too!

Suzanne's Surprise Blog Hop

Hi Everyone, I have a very special card for you today - a birthday card for Suzanne, the owner and talented force behind So Suzy Stamps! And we are celebrating this wonderful occasion with a special blog hop! You may have arrived from the wonderful Giada , our Italian contingent :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY Suzanne! I used the Blowing Butterflies  (heat embossed in gold)  and the Birthday Wishes  to create my card. I cut myself a gold frame from glitter paper and added a water color wash. I opened the frame on the side to have the butterflies and color spill out. Added lots of splatters and the heat embossed sentiment Your next stop on the hop is the talented Henriette - you are going to love her card! And just in case you get lost - below are all the participants listed. You even can get lucky and win a $20 gift certificate for So Suzy Stamps - sponsored by Justine and a  Bunkie Bag from Simply Charming Everyday, but you have to le...

Addicted to Stamps and More #134 and Spotlight Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone, Its challenge time at  ATSM ! For the next two week its going to be CAS - just my thing! And hopefully yours, too! I made a birthday card, because for some reason I always need more and never seem to have enough.... I was inspired by this weeks Make it Monday , where the talented  Ashley Newell  shows us a video about  stamps and doodling. Since I  mainly own die cuts from Papertrey and not so many stamps that would fit this theme I made my own out of fun foam, using my latest Papertrey dies (just got the order a few days ago) and cut those in fun foam - it works so well - voila - you have our own stamps, spending only a fraction of the money! I doodled around the stamps as you can see. Gives you kind of a cool effect....a little more tremor and one would think I drank too much ;) Added tiny enamel dots - do you know about this month House of Cards challenge - its enamel dots - thought I'll let you know..... Our wonderful spons...

Dynamic Duos combined with CAS Colours and Sketches

I am getting the hang of combining challenges....not sure if that's good or bad... In the past I would just put all my "creative energy" into one challenge and then just link up with others, if the card just happened to fit...but now I do that on purpose. Well, I'll see how it goes....                           Anyhow here is the card that came out of this: I did not want to add a sentiment - I 'll add it later, when I know who will get it. And here is a close -up: Challenges: Dynamic Duos CAS Colours and Sketches Addicted to Stamps and More Amusing Challenges Materials: Papertrey Background Basics: Super Stripes, Memory Box Chloe Stem die. --X-- Card for Maddy: You may know already about  Maddy ,  who  was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and went through chemotherapy treatment followed by a stem cell transplant from her (then) fiftee...
